Lovely 16th century Welsh farmhouse, with large gardens, set in the secluded, peaceful surroundings of the Berwyn Mountains.
Great walking and mountain biking from your doorstep.

Tourist centres of Bala and Llangollen within 30 minutes drive.
Sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms.
You have the whole detached property to yourself, with no neighbours.
One of the "50 Coolest Cottages in the UK" (The Sunday Times 2018).
This is a much loved former family home, beautifully renovated with a lot of love and care. Holiday cottage sleeping 6 in three bedrooms. Open fire in lounge, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, dining room, kids playroom, utility area, sunroom, large garden with plenty of seating and barbecue. Free WiFi. Welcome pack and starter pack of logs included. High chair and travel cot are provided.
** Saturday changeover preferred.
** A 7 night booking from a Saturday will always achieve the best rate.
** Shorter breaks are usually available during off-peak periods
Bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single, 1 family room with double and single
Bathroom: full suite - bath with shower over on 1st floor.
Kitchen: fully fitted, electric hob and oven, microwave, larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher, table and 3 chairs.
Lounge: inglenook fireplace with open fire, handmade grandfather clock, ancient wooden wall. 1 x 2 seater sofa, 1 x 3 seater sofa, comfortable armchair, flat screen TV, DVD, coffee table.
Dining Room: large handcrafted dresser, handcrafted oak table and 6 chairs.
Utility Room: (external access) with washing machine, WC and shower cubicle, plus central heating boiler.
Sunroom: (external access) with wicker sofa and two chairs, side tables, view to back gardens.
Children's Playroom: in former hay loft in external building - colourful room with loads of toys & games, large flat screen TV, Wii games console, sofa and armchair. Care with toddlers please, steep steps to playroom.
Grounds: large mature garden surrounding property with garden furniture, swing seat and barbecue.
There are 13 Amp sockets in the garage which can be used to slow-charge an Electric Vehicle with your own wandering lead.
We try hard to keep the house as we would like to find it, spotlessly clean with all the things you need to enjoy a stay as a family, group of friends or a couple.
Sorry but we cannot accept pets as the cottage is in sheep country. Please note: Take care with toddlers, as there are steps and drops in garden area. There is a small pond which is not covered, so please keep children under supervision at all times in the garden.
Please note:
* Arrival from 5pm, departure by 10 am.
* All bedding, towels and cleaning are included in the weekly price.
* Saturday changeover preferred. A 7 night booking (saturday to saturday) will always achieve the best rate. Shorter breaks are usually available during off-peak periods

You have the whole detached property to yourself, with no neighbours.
There is a locked workshop and fuel store, but the rest of the property and gardens is all yours to enjoy.
Other things to note
The cottage stands in gardens away from any neighbours, and with plenty of parking. It is accessed via a short but steep lane with a gate at top and bottom. This lane is passable with a normal car unless there is snow, ice or heavy rain, in which case an alternative but longer route to/from the village of Cynwyd can be used. Full details are provided prior to arrival.

About the host
Hosted by Ian & Moyra

We are Moyra and her cousin Janna plus Moyra's partner Ian.
Moyra and Janna grew up with Henfaes Isaf, spending much of their childhood holidays here, and we are delighted that our children have also spent many happy times here.
We enjoy the outdoors and spending time in nature, our cottage was a much loved family home which following refurbishment is now a unique holiday rental with many original features.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
