Simply an amazing property.
This cottage is something else, wonderfully finished and perfect for a couples weekend or with the family. Large inside and a great outdoor area. The village is equally as good. Simply perfect.

Family weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend at Gardners Cottage. It is a beautiful cottage, spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The kitchen, dining area was very spacious The bedrooms all had en-suite facilities, which is a godsend with 3 couples and a baby! The village of Ilmington is a lovely friendly village with a village shop, 2 pubs and plenty of walks. Oli, who was our contact, was very helpful and answered any questions I had. Would most definitely recommend a stay in Gardners Cottage and booking with StayCotswold

I didn't want to leave
When I dreamed of staying in the Cotswolds, it included quaint villages, intimate pubs, quiet walks, adorable cottages, and a step back in time to be relished by moments that matter in life. That's exactly what the Gardner's Cottage and the village of Ilmington provided -- an idyllic cottage where I could have sat in the sunroom and sipped on lattes all day while watching the smoke plumes from nearby cottage chimneys. The house was so thoughtfully imagined and meticulously designed that I never wanted to leave. I even told the owner, Jeremy, that he may have to drag me out when it was my checkout time. I, of course, left but it will not be my last time to visit the cottage. I have fallen in love and will be back. I can't imagine a better place in the Cotswolds to stay. Thank you for the opportunity to have stayed in the cottage with my family of 5 and to have made such great memories for our first time in the Cotswolds.

Beautiful!
This is an absolutely beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. The large kitchen was a wonderful place for all 6 of us to gather. Everyone had plenty of room to spread out too in the comfortable bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms. We loved the useful boot/utility room. We arrived in the dark and the view of the village when we awoke the next morning was a wonderful surprise. We visited the lovely and well stocked village shop and had delicious cake and coffee in the cafe.

Cotswold family break
This was a perfect cottage for our family get together. We are all over sixty so four bedrooms and four bathrooms was great and so no need to share. The bedrooms were very comfortable, generous sized beds good bed linen and fluffy thick towels. The showers were good with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped we would have liked a colander and my brother a small washing up bowl for glasses but generously and thoughtfully equipped. The outlook onto the garden was light and airy so though it was rainy at times we had a lovely view and additional seating to sit and read was great. In fact we used the kitchen in this way more than the snug. The parking at the cottage was good yes we could get 4 vehicles in but a bit of a squeeze but again an electric charging point was a great addition. This is an excellent venue for a break in the Cotswolds, not far to Moreton in the Marsh, Burford and Stratford and great local walks too. I think for grown up family get togethers or friends meeting up for a weekend away this is a lovely lovely place to stay and would definitely return.

Absolutely gorgeous...
Gardners Cottage is beautiful. So much thought has gone in to making it a comfortable, homely, spacious and welcoming holiday 'home' (which is how it felt). We relaxed into it straight away. The decor and furnishings are stylish and tasteful. All the bedrooms/bathrooms are top quality, and every where spotless. We really enjoyed our short stay there. As a family, we know Ilmington well (a very special village, one of the best). With the combination of the two, you could not fail to have a very lovely holiday. I shall certainly be booking again.

Stunning Cottage with incredible attention to detail
We stayed at the most beautiful cottage in Ilmington. It was incredible. Everything we could possibly need in a property was there. We will 100% be coming back to this stunning property. The local pub also had amazing food, The Howard Arms. A star accommodation. Thank you for a super weekend stay.

Fabulous house 5*
We are a group of 7 friends who were celebrating our annual weekend away together and chose Gardners Cottage for its location, facilities and its attractive presentation on the website. We were all delighted that it exceeded our expectations. The house has been renovated and refurbished to the highest standards and everything we needed was provided. The owner and his son made themselves known to us, to be contacted in case of any problems - pleased to say there weren’t any. We have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful property and would definitely stay there again if visiting the area.

4 night family break at Gardners Cottage
Beautifully renovated cottage in an ideal location. Bedrooms all very comfortable and the kitchen was a perfect social space for our family reunion. The village shop and cafe just a short walk away are well worth a visit. Highly recommended - hope to book again in the future.

Idyllic
Perfect house, perfect location. One small change (for our family) would be somewhere for all of us to be able to sit and watch a film together, snug area not quite big enough for us but this is personal preference

Fabulous stay
We had a wonderful stay at Gardners Cottage! There was plenty of space for all 7 adults, 1 baby and dog. The cottage is beautiful and it was nice to be able to learn about its history. All appliances and furnishings are top notch. We had great weather so were able to make use of the stunning garden and BBQ. The hosts were so welcoming and always very quick at responding to our messages. Thank you for a fabulous holiday, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage in the perfect location
We were a party of four couples with a small dog and Gardener’s Cottage couldn’t have been more perfect, with four beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, we all had our own space. The wonderfully spacious, light, modern and well equipped kitchen, and dining area allowed us to easily hang out together and socialise. And Gardener’s Cottage certainly doesn’t fail to deliver when it comes to its name - its garden is simply delightful. Ilmington is the quintessential Cotswold village, close to bigger towns and villages of interest, with plenty of walks on the doorstep, a very well stocked village community shop, and two pubs, including the highly commended Howard Arms. Altogether, we had a wonderful weekend in the very best accommodation and location, Thank you.

Beautiful Property
Immaculately presented property, perfectly blending the old with the new. Situated in a lovely garden that was a pleasure to sit in or just admire from inside the property. A beautiful village location with two lovely pubs, within 10 minutes walking distance. Excellent community shop, surprisingly well stocked, with a cafe and fresh morning pastries. We have already recommended the property to friends and hope to make a return visit in the future.

Gardeners Cottage
I cannot begin to express just how wonderful and special Gardeners Cottage is. There was plenty of space and a real cooks kitchen as well as several different seating areas. There was a very high standard of decor, comfort and quality of amenities. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and very well equipped with everything we could have wanted. It was the perfect stay for us, planning to come back very soon. Thank you so much for opening your amazing house to us.
