About this property
Terraced studio on a botanical garden, facing lake Maggiore
Charming first floor of a guesthouse dateing back to late ‘800, just restaured, on a private botanical garden renowned for its camellias collection.
Few minutes far from the lake, reachable easily.
Bedroom and bathroom fully equipped.
It is in a garden of camellias, villa Anelli, with view on lake Maggiore, only reachable via feet.
The window and terrace face camellias blooming in springtime and winter, green during summer. Beautiful terrace facing far away the lake and the castles of Cannero, perfect for an aperitivo at sunset. Atmosphere of an english cottage, perfect for a couple.
The bed is a king one, yes kitchen.
The guest house, recently restaured, dates back to late '800.
It is a tipical building of the area, characterized by exposed beam ceilings and an antique decor; this floor can accommodate two people, it is a bedroom, a private bathroom, a hidden kitchen.
A natural oasis in which to relax, located in the historic garden of Villa Anelli in Oggebbio, on the Lake Maggiore.
Close to the Swiss side of the lake, the village is easily accessible. Private parking is available on the main square, but the guesthouse is only accessible by feet. The airport in Malpensa is one hour away, whereas Milan and Turin are one hour and a half away.
Public buses lead in and to the train station of Verbania Pallanza daily. There is the city tax to be payied of 10€ pax per night of stay.
Our guest are more then welcome to relax in the garden, looking at the labelled camellias mother plants. Charming table and chairs are disposed in the terrace, facing the camellia arboretum and the lake with view, far away, of the Cannero Castles: we recommend to drink an aperitif at sunset time there. They can also pick the vegetable garden fuits.
Our guests can access indipendently from the main gate, with an illuminated path at night.
Accordingly to our family needs (we have two sons, Carlo aged 13, and Fiammetta aged 8) we'll be more than glad to meet our guests and show them the lake at its best. We'll give suggestions of visits of other nearby privat historical gardens, or delicious restaurants to enjoy traditional and affordable food; contacts for discover the lake as fishing at dawn, riding horses.
Lots of advice and support on activities to make your stay memorable, such as the place deserves.
The garden is amazing is romantic english style, with a little creek on a steep valley: we recommend people to pay attention at the paths and wear comfortable shoes while in the garden.
