Host & Stay | Cwch Gwenyn
Summary:
Cwch Gwenyn is a luxury shepherds hut nestled away in the corner of Black Mountains Bespoke Breaks site. With views over rolling hills and flourishing farmland to the East, along with the Brecon Beacons, it is the perfect venue for a romantic escape to one of Wales' favourite holiday destinations. This beautifully decorated hut boasts a hot tub and log burner making it the perfect retreat for two beneath the stars!
The Space:
The hut's interior is thoughtfully organised and wonderfully equipped for a self-catering break. What's more, the compact kitchen with cooker, Belfast sink, fridge (with small freezer section) and fully functional bathroom provide all the comforts you will need for your stay. On arrival, you will find your fridge stocked with a luxury hamper of local produce - ready for a sumptuous breakfast in the morning.
When it comes to sleeping, you'll find a comfortable king size bed with premium bed linens and plush bedding so every care has been taken to ensure you get a good nights rest.
Cwch Gwenyn is well positioned to visit the world-famous book town of Hay-on-Wye or to the East, or the picturesque market town of Brecon to the West. Get back to nature with a walk in the hills or along the banks of the River Wye then return to a cup of tea brewed over the fire and enjoy a night under the stars - the site is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, one of only 13 Dark Sky Reserves in the world.

Guests have access to the full shepherds hut.
The keys to Cwch Gwenyn are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to arrival.
Ample on-site parking is available.
Hen & Stag Parties are not permitted on the Black Mountain Bespoke Breaks site.
CCTV is in place on site for the purposes of security.
The Neighborhood:
Cwch Gwenyn is situated on the Wales/Herefordshire border, only five miles from the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye - known for its second-hand bookshops and literary festival. Mid Wales offers a wealth of things to keep you occupied; whether it be outdoor pursuits or visiting the many historic towns and villages.
The site is situated in the foothills of the Black Mountains and only a few miles from the Brecon Beacons and the Offas Dyke Trail. There are also several cycling routes in the area, while the River Wye is two miles away, with Llangorse Lake being five miles away.
The Brecon Beacons is a beautiful part of Wales and is one of the only destinations in the UK that is an official Dark Sky Reserve! You can expect the most stunning landscapes across the national park as well as a whole host of activities to take part in. With over 1,200 miles of public rights of way, you can enjoy a stroll or cycle as you breathe in the fresh air. Adventurers will love the water-sports, rock climbing, abseiling and caving activities on offer.
