About this property

Bumble Cottage - Chipping Campden

You are welcomed at Bumble Cottage by its cheerful décor and comfortable furnishings which make this a delightful home from home. A stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Chipping Campden's high street you have the best of both worlds. A short stroll to the nearest pub and shops yet away from the buzz of tourists.

This incredibly well-equipped cottage is perfectly arranged for two couples or a small family. Three bedrooms provide flexibility and you will have fun finding the friendly bees hidden throughout. The quaint, country style kitchen is a lovely room for preparing meals with a double oven and convenient layout. There is space for four to dine together in the open plan living/dining area and evenings can be spent relaxing in the sitting area. Everything has been thought of with a selection of books, games and Smart TV to keep you entertained.

At Bumble Cottage you can live the life of a local and stroll into town to pick up some freshly baked bread for your breakfast, to be served in the garden. It is wonderfully secluded and enclosed. To the front of the cottage is off road parking for one car while additional on-street spaces can be found nearby.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
The pale blue tiles, white cabinets and wood worktop combine to create a modern cottage kitchen. You have a double oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. It has been beautifully finished and the owner's personalities shine through with fun additions of goose egg cups and bee themed gnomes.

Sitting/Dining Room:
This comfortable room instantly makes you sit down and relax. Two sofas in the sitting area seat four and the TV is on a useful extending bracket so everybody has a good view. The electric fire here is not in use. The dining area has a table and chairs seating four in front of the patio doors to the garden. Open these to bring the outside in and add birdsong as a backdrop to your meals.

Cloakroom:
A useful addition to the cottage is the ground floor cloakroom with a WC and sink. Along with the main bathroom upstairs this ensures there are enough facilities for all guests.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
The first double room has flourishes of beehive yellow and the plump bedding cocoons you for a great night's sleep. Alongside the double bed are bedside tables for a morning cup of coffee and your favourite book. There is also a reading lamp and smart Google alarm clock.

Bedroom Two:
This slightly larger bedroom overlooks the garden and neighbouring Cotswold stone cottages. There is a double bed, storage, bedside tables and lamp, Google alarm clock, and a full-length mirror.

Bedroom Three:
If you are a small family or group of friends, bedroom three has a single bed for some added flexibility with the sleeping arrangements.

Bathroom:
The family bathroom has a P-shaped bath with a shower over, WC and sink. It has a touch of luxe with glitzy tiles making bathtime a glamorous experience.

Outside

To the rear of Bumble Cottage is a fully enclosed split level garden. There is a bistro set, bench for two and a furniture set to seat four in the lower garden. Sip an evening cocktail or flick through the morning paper, you can take advantage of the sunny weather and enjoy being both indoor and outdoor at this Chipping Campden cottage.

6/10 Okay

Is it for you, you decide
Perfect location, very tight driveway if you have a big car. Beds very hard, uncomfortable foam pillows, not our choice, didn't sleep at all well. On arrival no milk in the fridge as stipulated, shop was a few mins away but after a long drive didn't want to go out and bearing in mind this was the only fresh item provided, it was poor. Bathroom is quite compact, if you have mobility issues or are bathing children it maybe a little awkward. Key is held in a digital key box outside, timed. Although there was nobody in the cottage before us we weren't allowed in before check-in time of 4pm. There was nobody in after either and it is suggested that you can ask for a later checkout which we did, by just one hour. We were told it wasn't possible, I'd recommend not even suggesting to ask for one. The kitchen is well equipped, the property is spotlessly clean and in a great location.

Fabulous
Fabulous property, conveniently situated close to the action but not affected by town noise. Very good eateries close by and lots of very different walks.

Faultless in every respect
Very comfortable and superbly equipped accommodation in excellent (but quiet) location for easy access to the high street. One of the best we’ve stayed in and definitely plan to return!

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, every comfort provided for, we loved Bumble Cottage.
We stayed in Bumble Cottage for 4 nights. We could not recommend it highly enough. Location and parking in the centre of the village was excellent so we could stroll to restaurants etc in the evening. The cottage was spotlessly clean everywhere, including every item in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. Great shower and very comfortable beds. Would definitely book again we loved it.

10/10 Excellent

An excellent Bolt Hole!
As Bumble Cottage is just off the High Street in Chipping Campden, it is in a very convenient location with shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep and all within easy reach. Bumble Cottage is cosy, clean and well-equipped cottage with a lovely garden, which unfortunately we didn't get to use because of inclement weather. The off-road parking space is a bonus!
