This architect designed newly built, single-storey house sleeps up to eight guests across four ensuite bedrooms and boasts incredible views across the North Yorkshire countryside. If you are looking for a modern and spacious home to enjoy with your family or friends, Sleeper Cottage is the perfect place.
The Space:
Sleeper Cottage has been beautifully designed with premium furnishings and interiors throughout. The house boasts an open plan living and dining area where you can gather your loved ones as a group and enjoy quality time together.
The living and dining area has glass doors which open out onto the terrace and lawn at the rear of the property, so you’ll have incredible views of the garden and countryside ahead. Completely private and not overlooked, the outdoor space on offer at Sleeper Cottage is perfect for enjoying quality time with your fellow guests.
With fully equipped facilities, you’ll be able to make the most of your self-catering stay in the kitchen at Sleeper Cottage. Appliances include a dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, kettle, integrated microwave, two ovens and hob.
Head along the hallway and you’ll find four spacious bedrooms. Perfect for groups of friends or families, two rooms feature king size beds, while the other two bedrooms are twins. Every bedroom benefit from a calming, neutral colour scheme and plush bedding.
All bedrooms at Sleeper Cottage are ensuite and you’ll find three shower rooms, along with one bathroom, all spaces complete with wash basins and WC’s. The house also has a separate WC for added convenience.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Sleeper Cottage are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check in.
Private on-site parking is available for up to four vehicles.
Please note that CCTV is installed at Sleeper Cottage for the purposes of guest safety and security.
The Neighborhood:
Brompton-by-Sawdon is a small village located roughly midway between the seaside resort of Scarborough and the market town of Pickering. The village has great access to a number of walks and often, you can stumble across artists painting the local views which include the beck, the swans on the Brompton ponds, the ducks, free ranging hens and lambs.
In Scarborough, there are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000-year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open-Air Theatre is where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby.
Head to the thriving town of Pickering and you’ll find plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars so you won’t tire of things to do. Explore Pickering Castle which is packed with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Enjoy a walk on the iconic Cleveland Way, or head to Dalby Forest where you can explore the gentle woodland trails.
Getting Around:
The closest train station to Brompton-by-Sawdon is located in Seamer, six miles away from the village. From here, there are direct routes to Scarborough, Bridlington, Hull, York, Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester.
One bus route can be found running through Brompton-by-Sawdon. Hop on the 128 to visit Scarborough, Pickering and Helmsley.
The nearest airport is Humberside, 54 miles away from Brompton-by-Sawdon.
