About this property
Little Islet - a fabulous cottage on the sea
This beautiful and unique beachside cottage could not be any closer to the sea, you can sit with your morning coffee and have a chat with the swimmers out of the window!
Little Islet has panoramic sea views across Plymouth Sound, and is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday by the beach.
This house was previously used as the green room for the movie 'Mr Turner', whilst also serving as a residence for lead actor Timothy Spall!
We recommend 4 adults & 2 children, or maximum 6 adults.
The space
Little Islet sits on a lovely little sand and shingle beach (which is dog friendly all year round), when the tide is in you can hear the waves splashing up against the house and when the tide is out the beach is ideal for watersports, sunbathing, dog walking or alfresco dining.
The front door is road side and the entrance hall leads straight down to a bright sitting/dining room with two windows overlooking the sea. If you wanted a break from watching the sea the sitting room has a smart TV and log burner to keep you warm in the colder months. There is also a table with space for 6 people to enjoy dinner parties.
To the left just before the sitting room, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with an large open hatch into the sitting room which gives you a feel of ‘open plan’ living. Within the kitchen you will find a fridge freezer, oven, washing machine and dishwasher.
The master bedroom is on the first floor and has a king size bed, with two windows overlooking the sea… imagine waking up to the sound of the waves!
Also on the first floor is bedroom two with a double bed. All bedrooms benefit from soft cotton sheets and fluffy bath towels.
The bathroom has a bath with shower to wash those sandy feet after a long day on the beach!
Bedroom three is on the top floor. This has two single beds, with the option of pulling out another full size single bed therefore perfect for sleeping 2 adults and a child, or 3 children. This room also has a ‘swinging seat’ with views of the sea, which children love sitting in!

Guest access
As with most of the properties in this area, there is no parking. However, there are two good sized car parks close by and some free road side parking at the top of the village.
One is Cawsand car park (10 mins walk) that costs approx. £38 a week, or £5.50 a day. The other is Kingsand car park (3 mins walk) that costs approx. £25 a week or £4.50 a day.
To access the house, you take a left down 'Market Street' and then onto 'The Cleave'. Please note this is a VERY narrow street. You can follow the road around and unload your bags next to the Devonport pub (Little Islet is just past the pub on the right). We advise 4x4 cars to park in the car park and take bags to the house
.
Other things to note
There is a high chair available for little ones.
Well behaved dogs are allowed at a cost of £25 per stay. Kingsand beach and Girt beach are dog friendly all year round.
