The property is located behind the church of San Matteo, a Baroque place of worship built in the second half of the seventeenth century on designs by Achille Larducci di Salò (nephew of Francesco Borromini), and a few steps from Piazza Sant'Oronzo, an elegant lounge characterized by Roman amphitheater of the 1st-2nd century AD and from the column of the patron saint of the city. A 5-minute walk is also Piazza Duomo, one of the rare examples of "closed square" in which the imposing bell tower, the work of Giuseppe Zimbalo, stands.
