About this property

We have been visiting Twain Harte for three generations and never really knew what to expect each time when we rented a cabin. After years of wonderful experiences and a few that didn't meet expectations, we decided it was time to renovate a cabin to our own tastes and preferences.

We vacation in Twain Harte with friends and family, and expect you might do the same.
Our cabin sleeps a total of 10.

There are three bedrooms + a fourth bunk / sleeping area:
* the small bedroom has two twin beds;
* the medium bedroom has one queen bed;
* the large master has two queen beds;
* the bunk / sleeping area has a bunk bed that is a double on the bottom and twin on the top.

There are two full bathrooms:
* the hall bath has two sinks and a shower stall;
* the master bath has one sink and a tub w/shower.

There are ceiling fans in the living room, medium bedroom, bunk / sleeping area, and master bedroom. There are wall-mounted A/C units in the living room and master bedroom.

Great place for families, walk to lake

We sincerely enjoyed our stay in this updated, clean house. Plenty of room for a family of five (or more!). A 5-minute walk down the hill to the lake. The host was very quick to respond and accommodate requests. We will definitely come here again!

Great place for families to gather

A great cabin!

We loved our stay at the teal house! It was the perfect fit for our large group of kids and adults. The cabin is clean, comfortable and well stocked! The bedroom layouts and furnishing make it very comfortable for a large group. The owner was very responsive and wanted us to really enjoy our stay - which we did! Would love to come back in summer and walk to the lake!

Fantastic Rental, perfect for a skiing getaway

We just loved staying at the Teal House. It is completely remodeled and squeaky clean which is always a plus, and super hard to find in Twain Harte! The beds were comfortable and the house was one of the best-equipped rentals I have stayed at. The highlight for my son was the piano which he enjoyed playing. I highly recommend the Teal House, particularly for a larger group 8-10 such as ours. Thank you!

Perfect cabin to stay with family

My family and I had a fabulous time here. Everything was nice and clean with an updated kitchen and bathrooms, and all the amenities that you need. There was a great patio with furniture and barbecue grill which was great. My kids enjoyed the board games and swing outside. It was everything we were looking for, with a plus of being a walking distance from the lake. Jeff as well was very responsive to his emails and answering any questions that I had. This is truly a hidden treasure and will definitely come back again.

We love this cabin!

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was an excellent experience. Christmas in the mountains was beautiful. The cabin is clean, beds comfortable, kitchen stalked and board games for the kids. Bathrooms are remodeled which is a plus. Towels and linens are all new and fresh. Washer and dryer makes packing easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great cabin for families

We enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday in this beautiful cabin. We loved that it was clean with remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with anything we needed for cooking. Washer and dryer was a plus for keeping the clothes clean and dry after playing in the snow. Little things like Clorox wipes, dish detergent, laundry soap and plenty of clean towels made our stay that much more enjoyable. Great location and we will be back over the Christmas holiday! Working with the owner Jeff was great as well. Super easy to contact for anything needed.

Lovely home a block from the lake!

We had a wonderful family vacation staying at this lake house! Perfect location for a walk to the lake! The house is beautifully decorated, clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need to enjoy a vacation in Twain Harte! The owner is responsive and is very pleasant! Can't imagine a better place to stay! We will be back!

Highly recommend! Nicely renovated and great location!

We stayed here over memorial day weekend and it was just perfect. The cabin itself was recently renovated and everything feels brand new. It has plenty of beds, and can accommodate a lot of people comfortably. The separation of the common area from the bedrooms is nice. The kitchen opens to a nice deck with bbq and dining furniture for an indoor/outdoor flow. The walk to the lake is about 2 minutes. We had small children in our group, and the cabin worked really well for them (they especially loved the swing outside), and the adults loved the nice kitchen and drinks on the deck. We wanted some time in the mountains close to a lake, but didn't want to deal with the traffic to Tahoe. This was a perfect get-away. We visiting Sonora and Columbia state park close by, and also spent a half day at beautiful Pinecrest lake, also close by. But Twain Harte and the lake there are perfect places to relax as well. Highly recommend for a family get-away. And Jeff the owner was very communicative, and responsive.

Charming Mountain house

We had a great stay! The house is updated and very comfortable. It was an easy walk to the lake and a nice walk to downtown. We already have our reservations for next year. Looking forward to staying there again.

Nicest cabin in Twaine Harte

This cabin had it all.. Nicely renovated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, kitchen utensils and amenities, large selection of beach gear, etc. It's was just 5 min walk to the lake! The only reason for giving 4 stars is that the walls were so thin that it was nearly impossible to sleep despite the nice bed/linen. We definitely plan to come back next year!

Very clean and super cute!

This was the perfect place for our family to stay for Christmas. It was newly remodeled so everything was nice and new. The house was very clean and super cute. It had everything we needed (except snow). We would stay there again.
