Scam

The host mailed me 2 hours before I reach there that the property is no longer available, Vrbo arranged a hotel for first night and lied to me that they will get me another property, next day they said I am on my own. Horrible business practices. Now calling them everyday for a refund and false promises daily.

No contact host who canceled last minute

Me and my friends were all excited about I have our first sleep over at this persons home so I booked it for use of my birthday party for family and friends. When I booked it I wanted to get in contact with the host in order to discuss however the host was unreachable. One phones number didn’t work and the other one he didn’t answer. When I was able to finally get in contact with him I asked to raise the number of people coming to my even from 30 to 50 and he said yes over the phone. I was supposed to get my check in information three days before my stay however the host told me that I would get it the day of. When he told me this i was reluctant bc like I said before he was impossible to get hold of. The day I was supposed was o check in came and I didn’t see my check in information so I kept calling with no answer. As I was calling I get an email saying that my reservation was canceled and I will be refunded my money. When I got this notification I panicked and my heart stopped for a second. I kept trying to reach out to the host and without he texted saying that he thought that over the phone I asked to raise the number of people to 15 and not 50. So without talking to me or giving me a choice he cancelled. I was distraught because I already invited my party guest and have already wasted money for the event that o had planned so I called costumer service to get a solution. They never solved the solution and me and my friends were left stranded
