The cottages are located on our lovely 50-acre working farm vineyard and we ask that you be respectful of our farmers as well as our farm animals hens, roosters, geese.

Please be aware that this cottage requires you to use stairs. Our cottages are all non-smoking and no pets are allowed. All the cottages are equipped with smart TVs and Wifi networks and passwords are provided in your confirmation email. You may use your Netflix, HBO, or Amazon Prime account to view your favorite shows or movies.

The cottages are equipped with gas heat which will be turned on before arrival in the chillier months and they are also equipped with AC window units/ductless units which are also turned on before arrival in the warmer months. Upon checking out we ask that you adjust the temperatures accordingly. We also ask that you leave the keys on the table and the doors UNLOCKED at check out as they were for your contactless check-in.

Trash and recycling days are by 7:30 am Wednesdays at the front of the driveway in the trash and recycling containers provided for each cottage outside. Recycling is mixed clean, plastic, glass, paper, metal, and cardboard. Please remove all trash and place it in the proper receptacles at check out, which are located outside of the cottage. Our check-in time is between 3 pm and 6 pm with check-out is 10 am. In high season May through the end of October, there are generally guests checking in the same day you check out, so we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late checkouts since we need to get the cottage prepared for the next guests. In the off-season, we may be able to be more flexible if there are no back-to-back guests. Just let us know, and we will try to work with your schedule and with our cleaning service. We strive to achieve a brief one-on-one check-in with our guests. You will be given the property manager's phone number for any questions, concerns, or problems that may arise.

The cottage is equipped with your basic kitchen equipment (plates, glasses, pots, pans, blender, knives, flatware, and salt and pepper, though we do not supply any food staples. We ask that you please be very mindful of crumbs as Cape May is a very sandy, seashore area that is one big anthill. “Sugar ants” are actually sterile and very clean but if you leave sweets and food around, especially crumbs the ants will be attracted to them. We ask you to please keep all food items refrigerated. We supply basic paper towel products that you will need and basic cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. so that you may maintain and leave the cottage as clean as when you arrived. We also supply sheets and bath towels along with shampoo, and soap There is also a hairdryer in each cottage. We encourage you to bring your beach towels, beach tags, and beach chairs as we do not supply them. We also ask you to leave and shake out your sand outside.

There are free beaches at Sunset beach or the bay here for you to enjoy, though the beaches right in the city of Cape May and Cape may Point require beach tags which you can purchase at city hall or right at the entrance to the beach. All the beaches on the island are available easily by a 5-20 minute walk or bike ride. Beach tags are available in daily, weekly, and full-season options. A great way to see our beautiful island is either by bicycle or golf cart (which can be rented and delivered right to the cottage for your convenience.

The winery offers wine tastings and tours along with a great grill menu for snacks, lunch, or dinner. We encourage you to please review our winery calendar of ever-changing special events to be aware of fun activities like comedy nights, or music for early closing times. The winery's reservations may be made directly, as well as online booking on the website.

Peaceful stay

We have stayed in this cottage several times and we really enjoy it. It gives us a nice place to stay away from the crowds and able to go to the beach, play golf, or just take a bike ride. And we love the roosters too!

Unique

The property location was amazing, right in the middle of the vineyard with chickens and geese as neighbors. Short walk to the winery and quick drive or bike ride to beaches and downtown.

Almost Perfect Stay

The cottage was well appointed and cared for. As advertised, it is located on the grounds of a winery. The winery and restaurant are really awesome! Good food and a good time! The grounds are gorgeous. Peaceful and serene. Mostly. The cottage is located between the farm's chicken coop/run and a small pond that is frequented by the ducks and geese that roam the property. The chickens were surprisingly quiet. The geese, not so much, but the noise was tolerable. Unfortunately, the geese love to hang out in the roadway next to the cottage and the parking area for the cottage. They don't just wander through those areas on the way to somewhere else. They HANG OUT there. Goose droppings everywhere, but again, not a big deal. Unfortunately, the alpha gander is, let's just say, aggressive. We were literally attacked by this bird on three occasions just trying to walk to and from our car. I know that he was just trying to protect his territory/harem from a perceived threat, but that knowledge was little consolation when the two and a half foot tall, 30 to 40 pound beast was running dead at us hissing, just inches away. My sweetie was genuinely frightened by this beast, which, of course obliged me to defend her against these attacks. Neither yelling nor gesticulating would deter his aggression. He came literally within an inch of a broadside from my boot on each of these occasions before retreating. Despite these incidents, I would stay on this property again, just not in the Hamilton Cottage until the owners get this animal's behavior under control. The property is beautiful, including the geese! The winery is awesome! The place is just a few minutes from Cape May, but feels a world away. Because this particular cottage is located in territory claimed by the geese, it is just, sometimes, a scary world.

Great Place to Stay In Cape May

We totally enjoyed staying in this cottage. On the grounds of a winery next to a hen house and pond, it is a great location away from the crowds but convenient to everything. The cottage is comfortable and decorated very nicely. To find it, go past the cottage next to the entry to the winery and head towards the restaurant. You will find Hamilton Cottage next to the hen house on the right.

Super cute & excellent location

Loved our weekend in Cape May. The cottage sits on the Willow Creek Winery and within close proximity to “downtown” shopping and dining. Our host was easily accessible and friendly. It felt like home! We will definitely come back.

Nice Getaway

The cottage was clean and the decor was quite nice. Very pleasant for a long September weekend surrounded by greenery. There is a hen house close by, which was a surprise, but for my partner (an animal lover) that was an added bonus.

This is an EXCEPTIONAL property!!

We had an amazing time staying here!! There are reviews posted that suggest that this place had cleanliness issues and that is the FURTHEST from the truth!! We loved staying on the property and greeting the ducks and chickens next door every morning!! Easy drive to the beach and perfectly located right next to a farm that offers perfect breakfast sandwiches every morning. Honestly though, you’re staying on a vineyard, why are you still reading this?? JUST BOOK!!

Cute cottage, great location

We really loved staying here - very modern upgraded cottage, a hidden treasure in Cape May. GREAT location to the Point and to town. The cleanliness of the property was OK, dirty dishes and old coffee grounds in the kitchen, had some issues with bugs & garbage disposal, but the property manager was responsive to help. In all, a GREAT place and we will be back again.

A place to be still and listen

The view was lovely of the vineyards, the geese, the mallard ducks and chickens. The beds were excellent and comfortable. A place of beauty and peace.
