About this property
Family Cottage in the Peak District
Nestled on a hillside position, upon arrival you will see the fantastic views that Beech Cottage has over the Derwent Valley, the Peak District itself with the Chatsworth estate in the distance. There is so much to do in this area with lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy in Matlock, which also has a handy railway station. The property is just a short drive from the pretty market town of Bakewell with its many shops and cafes that offers a great place for a gentle stroll. During November Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall have fabulous Christmas markets and other events throughout the year.
Situated at the end of a quiet lane, the property is entered via the hallway, heading down a few steps into the open plan living space, perfect for relaxing and reading a book or watching the Smart TV. With an armchair and sofa in front of a warming log burner, ensuring a cosy night in after a busy day exploring the nearby countryside. The dining area is a couple of steps up and has plenty of space and seating for all guests to eat together. Just off the living space is the fully equipped kitchen which has everything you will need to cook a meal, and includes a Nespresso coffee machine, electric oven, induction hob, two under counter fridges with an ice box in each, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer.
Heading back up the steps and into the hallway, your will find the family bathroom on your left, with a shower and WC. The bedrooms are located on the first floor, the first bedroom on your right is the Super king, which can also be made up as a twin bedroom, complete with a Smart TV on the wall, mini Alexa and plenty of clothing storage. The second bedroom is a cosy double with a double bed, Smart TV, mini Alexa and further handy storage for clothes.
Outside, there is a patio area to the rear of the property to make the most of the warm summer nights, where there is a bench & 2 chairs, a gas BBQ and festoon lights across the whole space. There is a secure outdoor shed which can be used to store bikes and walking gear. There is free street side parking for cars on a first come first serve basis.
