About this property
Bryn-y-Gof, Llangrannog
Bryn-y-Gof (Blacksmith's Hill) is a romantic seaside retreat full of cosy characters just 10 minutes from Llangrannog on Cardigan Bay. Traditional yet cosy, Bryn-y-Gof is set in a 7 acre meadow on the edge of a tiny rural hamlet, a tranquil setting with stunning views. This area is full of the most spectacular wildlife, including seals, dolphins and red kites. The wildflowers are a real sight to behold, too, and the coastline is truly stunning.
Bryn-y-Gof is the perfect base from which to explore this unspoilt haven. You can walk through ancient Bluebell Woods to Cwmtydu and Seal Beach. Join the coastal path and head south along the spectacular coast path to Llangrannog or north to the pretty fishing village of New Quay.
The spacious cottage has beautiful high beamed ceilings and large windows to make the most of the spectacular scenery that surrounds it. The beautiful oak staircase is a steeper pitch than a normal staircase, so care must be taken at all times. In the large, light and airy bedroom you can lie in the bath and watch the foxes as they play about in the field opposite, watch your favourite film or enjoy the crackling of the fire with a nice glass of wine
At least 10 stunning beaches can be found within 15 minutes of the cottage along with castles, historic sites and market towns. There are miles of cycle routes and a fantastic selection of footpaths including coastal, woodland and rural options. Take a boat trip from New Quay or sit on a deserted beach and watch for dolphins and seals.
Enjoy the relaxed, friendly hospitality of this beautiful area. Visit the local farm shop or the local produce market to stock up on award-winning local food and drinks. A warm welcome awaits at the local pubs and restaurants serving great local food and ales too.
