Cae Mawr, Borth and Ynyslas
With an idyllic setting overlooking the Dyfi estuary in Borth, Ceredigion and views down to the sea at Aberdyfi, Cae Mawr is a stunning Grade II listed whitewashed cottage which makes the perfect base for a family holiday.
It is surrounded by fields yet easily accessible just off the A470. Walking and cycling are on the doorstep with the Wales Coast Path passing just 100m behind the cottage and amazing mountain bike trails in the immediate locality. Local shop and pub within 1.5 miles.
Nearby attractions include sandy Borth beach, Ynyslas sand dunes, birdwatching at RSPB Ynys-hir and the Dyfi Osprey Project, as well as forestry trails for walking/cycling from the house. The lovely market town of Machynlleth is just 7 miles away, and the busy seaside and university town of Aberystwyth, with the National Library of Wales and thriving Arts Centre just 10 miles south.
There are some superb places to eat locally including the Michelin-starred Ynyshir Hall, the Wynnstay at Machynlleth and the local community shop and cafe at Tre'r Ddol. Other local attractions include the Cambrian Coast Railway, Talyllyn narrow-gauge steam railway and the Centre for Alternative Technology.

Bathroom: large bath with powerful overhead shower, toilet, wash basin, underfloor heating
OUTSIDE
The cottage has a large enclosed garden with attached woodland and stream. The terrace overlooks the beautiful Dyfi estuary, with expansive views down from Cader Idris mountain to the sea at Aberdyfi. A large garage provides safe cycle parking. Off-road parking for up to 3 cars.
