This quaint home has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths (~1250 sqft). All the modern conveniences of home located in the mountains.

Bedrooms have tempur-pedic matresses with down comforters. (All linens are provided.) The kitchen is stocked with all necessary appliances and utensils. Long drive way, good enough to park a boat/snowmobile. Big grassy backyard for family gatherings. Right across the street from the Long Barn Ice Skating Rink.

Located right off 108 between Twain Harte and Pinecrest, and good fishing in Stanislaus river. Few minutes from DodgeRidge ski resort and Leland snow play. Shopping, skiing, swimming, casino, fishing this is a year round playground. This property is perfect for a couples get-away or a ski/lake weekend with friends.

we had an amazing time at this cabin!! my kids LOVED the dvd player, they got a kick out of playing "CDs" all weekend! it was perfect room for 3 adults, 2 children. there was TONS of blankets, 4 space heaters, plenty of hot water. there was plenty to do within reasonable driving distance. we went to Leland Snow play and had a blast. we also went old fashioned sledding down the hills by the cabin. I got several emails and directions from the owner, communication was great.

Great, relaxing visit to along Barn

My husband and I traveled to Long Barn to fish at Pinecrest Lake nearby. The cabin is clean and updated with all the amenities of home.

Excellent place to stay if visiting Dodge Ridge

Great experience staying here for our trip to Dodge ridge. Very clean space which was able to sleep our group of 7 (and dog) comfortably. Would stay here again!

Clean mountain home

Very clean property with east check in. As others mentioned furnace keeps upstairs cozy but downstairs can be cool. This was easily remedied with the very effective and large space heater in the closet. Front light works perfectly if you look at the instructions in the app. Beds are comfortable and new, appliances work well. My only recommendation would be to get a mixing bowl for the kitchen for cooking.

Long Barn Greatness

This is a great property. Spacious and great location. Close to the lake, ice skating and ski resort. It was also very clean. My complaint is the sleeping arrangements. There are only 2 beds in this large cabin. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem as kids can sleep on the couches, however, the couches are completely worthless. There is no structure to them. You can't even sleep on them let alone sit on them. You sink right through to the frame. If the couches could be replaced, it would get a 5 star rating from me.

I was disappointed that I had to clean some of the blinds. Very dusty. Backyard not well kept.

The cabin has a berry bush that is over grown. Very dangerous. I had to push some limbs back so we would not get hurt. Place had spider webs that should been cleaned. I did like the cabin. Porch lights did not work. There were some problems. Can be taken care of. I felt since I paid for cleaning I should not be the one. Sorry

Great little cabin - close to so many things!

First off - the cabin was SO CLEAN - first impression when I walked in the door was I was so amazed how clean everything was- it looked freshly painted and scrubbed, not a speck of dirt, dust or cobwebs! The cabin would be perfect for 4, we made it work for 3 adults and 3 teenagers with the teens sleeping on the floor mats in the living room (there is room on the floor in the 2 bedrooms but teens did not want to sleep in the same room as their parents or grandma!) The 2 queen beds were SUPER comfy and the ceiling fans were great throughout the house. Didn't really need to run the AC as there are lots of windows throughout and a good cross-breeze. Bathrooms were very spacious and well-stocked with quality towels, TP, soap, shampoo, etc. The entire cabin was well -stocked with everything you might need, owners really did a good job making sure you have everything you might need. Location was great too, easy to jump on 108 to Pinecrest and Beardsley Reservior, or go to Twain Harte for groceries. Wish we had more time to explore! The one area that was lacking was the yard. It was really overgrown and needed a good mowing and trimming of the bushes in front. Fenced yard was great for the dog but a patio area with chairs and seating for 6 would have been perfect. The kitchen table inside and the table outside only seats 4 so we ended up bringing our camp chairs outside to eat. That being said, I can definately see renting this place again in the future. We had a great stay!

Great place for snow play

Nice house in Long Barn

Stayed here to visit Leland Snowplay with our little kids in the winter. The house is nice for the area. There's not much in Long Barn, but it's near the highway to neighboring towns. The host is great and quick to communicate; check-in and check-out were easy. The house was well cleaned and well-stocked with towels and supplies. The beds in both bedrooms are nice memory foam mattresses. There is no garage (as is most of the houses in this town it seems like), but the driveway is flat incline and relatively easy to get in/out even when snowing (we didn't have AWD). Some issues to note: The kitchen is well stocked but the pans are (per usual) worn out. The living room couches are pretty worn (uncomfortably sink in when seated). There's a Nest thermostat on the second floor, and we found that the second floor bedrooms would be hot while the first floor still cold, likely a limitation of a single central heating system in a 2-story home. Lastly, there was a little bit of dog hair around the house that we picked up on our clothes during our stay, not sure if it was just unlucky from a recent renter, or from the owner. Few minor issues, but overall, solid place to stay, we enjoyed it!

Nice house in the Stanislaus Forest

The house is clean and mostly comfortable, but prepared for the fact that the furniture is very second-hand. The table wobbles, when you sit on the couches you fall into a hole because the cushions are so broken, the porch light doesn't work (an issue in the dark), and the upstairs master bed frame is sunken near the top so your head is actually below your feet (we slept backwards). These weren't the hugest deals to navigate but it's good information for future renters. On the plus side the owner was very responsive to my initial inquiry, check-in and check-out was easy, there was a garbage can outside (not always a given!), and the bathrooms were well stocked with toilet paper and toiletries. With regard to the kitchen, there are plates, glasses, cutlery (including cutting knives), a cutting board, and even a rice cooker. There is one frying pan that is almost a cast-iron type though a little less heavy. Finally, the location in Long Barn was right off the main road so there is traffic going by, but the proximity to the national forest and nice hiking trails was lovely.

Cozy, clean home in a great location

This home was a perfect fit for me and my family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, and the shady fenced yard with a grill made for a very relaxing stay. The location between Twain Harte and Pinecrest made it easy to drive to many trails and amenities. Highly recommended!

Great cozy place in a beautiful area.

The property owner was great and communicated everything very well. The house was a great place to stay. Nice and cozy with all the comforts of home. Long Barn is a super cute town and Sonora is 30 minutes away for groceries, shopping, and restaurants (main street area is a must for super cute shops). If you go in winter, go to Wal-Mart, get chains, and keep them with you. The snow is amazing, but can catch you off guard. I highly recommend this house.

Nice, I would stay here again!

Great property. I would stay here again and recommend this property to anyone. The homeowner has made it very comfortable with all the comforts one could want. Great location! Very easy to get to. Only negative was all the porch lights did not work when we stayed so it made it hard to see going from car to getting into the house. Other than that little detail, it was wonderful!

Great place!

Super nice place with all the comforts of home. This "cabin" is more like a fully decked out home--everything is very new, clean, and bright. We were able to cook all our meals here thanks to a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoyed coffee in the morning and a BBQ in the evening. So glad we were able to bring our pups to enjoy the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Long Barn Stay

The process of checking in and getting all necessary information was very easy. Communication from the owner was top notch and thoughtful. Our dogs loved the yard and it was a great place to hang out with them. The overall location was perfect. It was close to multiple lakes and hiking areas that were also dog friendly. Any shopping needs could be taken care of at the store in Twain Harte which was close and is a great store. The house was very clean and everything was in proper functioning order.

Nice clean place.

Good stuff: House is very clean and nicely equipped. Beds are super comfy. Pleasant yard. Comfortable seating in living room. Up to date bathrooms. Washer and dryer in good condition. Bad things: WiFi is painfully slow. (Problem for me because I had some work to do.) Lockbox is sticky. Took us a while to open.

Immaculate Long Barn Get Away

Truly impressed with this home. Had to be the cleanest, most well put together house I've ever stayed in. It had everything. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, nice heating system, fenced yard, awesome kitchen, TV/DVD and more. My daughter played with the jenga puzzle for hours. The bed was a bit hard for me, but that was literally my only complaint. Thank you for a wonderful few days away! PS the post office staff is a super friendly helpful place!!
