About this property
Castle Green, Newport
Castle Green is a traditional stone terraced cottage, full of character and with cosy charm, and perfectly located for taking in the sights of Newport, or exploring this beautiful area whether on foot or by car. This dog-friendly cottage has a comfortable sitting room, open beams, and a roll-top bath where you can relax and unwind.
The Grade II listed 18th-century cottage stands in a small quiet cul-de-sac virtually in the shadow of the Norman castle in Newport Pembrokeshire. It adjoins a similar cottage and has been renovated to take a step back in time, to encompass the character and charm of its early life.
Newport village shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants are just 150 yards away, including The Royal Oak Curry House and The Canteen cafe and takeaway. The village lies at the foot of the magical Carn Ingli Mountain and is an ideal location for walkers exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and National Park.
The sheltered bay and estuary are popular for sandy beaches, sailing and water sports, and sea and river fishing. Newport Sands is ideal for family days out, and The Parrog for rockpooling. There is an 18-hole golf course with stunning views and a choice of riding stables within easy reach offering trekking across the Preseli Hills and pub and beach rides.
