About this property
Yellow Welsh Cottage-Coastal Retreat Village View
Charming Welsh 1850s chapel cottage with parking and fast wifi, in St Brides Major village. This 2 bedroom cottage has been newly refurbished to a high standard offering a king bedroom and a triple (sleeps 5), smart TV with netflix and a fully equipped kitchen. Only 1 minute walk from 'The Fox' pub owned by Gavin Henson, serving delicious food and ales.
There are plenty of walks directly from the cottage, and the local beaches of Southerndown and Ogmore by Sea are only a mile away.
The space
The style is industrial meets cottage. We have a cosy corner for reading which looks out onto the garden as well as a separate laptop station for people combining a trip to our lovely area with remote working.
There is a beautiful old chemistry bench for guests to enjoy their meals, with a view of the pretty village. The kitchen is fully kitted out and a stable door opens directly onto the back garden which has a private eating area and BBQ.
Coffee connoisseurs can enjoy home roasted coffee left in a welcome parcel as well as a few other locally sourced treats.
Please note, the garden has steep steps with no handrail so children should be supervised.
If you are a larger family or group of families, there is also the option to hire the adjacent chapel house. The doors adjoining the two properties can be opened to form one larger property sleeping 11 plus infants. Please ask for more details.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole cottage solely for their use during their stay. For guests staying longer than a week, we can provide washing and drying facilities.
if you have any additional needs you don't see in our listing, please ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Other things to note
We provide a choice of cereals and continental breakfast as well as some home roasted coffee. We like to surprise our guests with an unexpected treat in their welcome pack from local suppliers.
We offer charging for EVs by request. This is a chargeable service.
