About this property
Prospect Place by UK Vacations
Probably the most family friendly and centrally located holiday let in the village of Westleton, Suffolk.
With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a HUGE garden, Prospect Place offers groups of up to 6 guests the ideal base to enjoy short breaks or longer holidays all year round.
Positioned opposite the friendly White Horse pub, with views of the village green, the kids and dog can play whilst the adults chill out.
Only 20 mins from Southwold, 8 mins from RSPB Minsmere & 5 mins from Dunwich.
The kitchen has a view of Westleton's lovely village green. It is well fitted out and has everything you might need. The kitchen cupboards are well stocked with essentials.
In the living room there is a log burner. The bifold doors can be fully opened to give direct access to a large and beautiful back garden. There is a cupboard full of family games and jigsaws and children's toys. We have Netflix, NOW, Disney and Amazon TV as well as all of the usual catch up channels. There is a WiiU and a selection of games. For those who would like to listen to music, there is a Sonos system in the house that you can connect to with the sonos app, there are speakers in the living room and dining room.
The dining room, which is open plan with the kitchen, has a table that seats 6 people, however it can easily extend to seat 10 people comfortably. The stairs are decorated all year round.
The house has three bedrooms. The two large rooms have king sized beds and have enough floor space for a travel cot and a mattress on the floor for a child. The third bedroom is smaller with a bunk bed, the bottom bunk is a very comfortable double.
The bathroom and the downstairs toilet and shower are fairly retro! There is a deep enamel bath in the bathroom, and there is lots of hot water.
There is not a specific office space, but there is a good quality monitor and a mouse and keyboard that you can use if you wanted to work whilst at Prospect Place. We often do this and set our workspace up on the dining room table, or in the living room.
The house has a very large garden with a brick built barbecue that guests are welcome to use. There is also a garden log burner, which we use at the bottom of the garden in the summer. There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer in the garage.
For little ones, there are plenty of toys and books as well as a high chair, a travel cot, a stair gate, a bath mat and a toddler rucksack carrier for walks where a push chair might be tricky.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Within the village there is a brilliant playground for children with a zip wire. There is also a petanque pitch and an outdoor table tennis table. There are table tennis bats and petanque balls in the games cupboard.
The following can be found nearby:
Nearby coastal towns with good beaches include Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Dunwich
There are lots of picturesque towns and villages nearby such as Framlingham, Orford and Woodbridge. Framlingham and Orford have lovely castles that can be visited
There is a spa at Potton Hall is on the outskirts of the village
A well stocked fishing lake at Mill Hill Farm is on the outskirts of the village
Minsmere Nature Reserve for those who are interested in wildlife, bird life in particular is of interest. Minsmere has some brilliant activities for children.

We can recommend good places to buy local meat, fish, vegetables and bread, and there are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby too.
The whole property is for use by guests.
The village of Westleton is a very special, welcoming village that embraces visitors. It is a central place to discover the Suffolk coastline.
There is a great rail link to Suffolk from Liverpool Street Station in London, it takes two hours exactly to get to Darsham, which is two miles away. If the ticket is booked a week in advance it is great value.
Taxis are not readily available, but there are several taxi companies nearby that can be pre booked. If you want to get around when you are there, there are car rental companies in Ipswich, which is about a 45 minute drive from Ipswich.
Westleton is less than two miles from the A12, which is the main road running along the Suffolk coast line, so it is very easy to get almost anywhere locally using that road.
