About this property
The Old Mill, Devil's Bridge
The Old Mill is a beautiful 17th century stone former watermill set in lovely gardens on an organic smallholding with stream, woods and meadows next to the owner's cottage. You can walk or cycle for miles in the lovely countryside without crossing a road yet the busy seaside town of Aberystwyth and the stunning Ceredigion coast are only 10 miles away.
This is an upside-down house sleeping 4 comfortably on the ground floor, and is ideal for two couples sharing or for a family. The beautiful, spacious bathroom has a huge shower and gallons of hot water, supplied by a solar panel.
There is a balcony with steps down and views of the garden, bridge and stream where it's great to sit in the morning with a coffee watching the birds.
There are several local pubs serving very good food, but the beautiful location and well equipped kitchen will tempt you to stay at home, unwind and relax to the sound of the stream. An ideal location for nature lovers and those just wanting to get away from it all. The magnificent National Trust Hafod Estate, with its extensive picturesque grounds filled with forests, rocky gorges and spectacular walking trails, is just four miles from the property.
The Old Mill has been carefully restored keeping its unique character and original features. Lime-hemp plaster and breathable clay paints make this a very 'green' building.
