About this property
Llety, Newport - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Llety is a lovingly renovated 19th-century, traditional Welsh cottage in a quiet street in the centre of the popular seaside town of Newport. It retains many original features: exposed beams, wooden floors and an inglenook fireplace, combining comfort and character. Relax in the secluded garden in the early morning air and gaze at the beautiful sea in the distance.
Newport is a charming seaside town that overlooks the estuary of the river Nevern which flows into Cardigan Bay. Llety is only two minutes from lovely independent shops, renowned restaurants, and cafes.
A short walk from the cottage, you can find yourself at the beautiful Parrog Beach, where you can enjoy stunning views and wonderful walks. Or discover Newport Sands (Traeth Mawr), which is right on the Pembrokeshire Coast path and overlooked by the magical Carningli Mountain.
There are many opportunities nearby for activities such as golf, horse-riding, fishing, windsurfing and mountain biking. For those requiring more leisurely pursuits, walking and birdwatching along the fantastic coastal paths of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is an unforgettable experience.
If you want to explore the neighbouring towns and villages, Fishguard, Cardigan, and Aberporth are all a short drive away from Newport.
Fishguard is a quaint coastal town split into two areas; the newer town is perched on the clifftop, whilst the older town is clustered around the quayside at the bottom of the hill.
Cardigan combines ancient history, modern comforts, busy independent shops and restaurants, and a dominating 12th-century castle. Aberporth is a delightful coastal village on the southern edge of Cardigan Bay with two golden sandy beaches.
