About this property
A Nautical Novelty, by Veeve
A home like no other in Paris: laid-out, furnished and decorated like a boat, there’s a surprise at every turn in this eclectic three-bedroom apartment. Located in the trendy 3rd arrondissement where museums and art galleries await around every corner, there’s little chance of boredom in this whimsical home.
LIVING AREAS
Complete with balustrades formed of fishing nets and antique furniture pieces, the rich nautical atmosphere is evident from the first step into this apartment. Two living areas comprise this home: one, affectionately dubbed ‘the library’, is appropriately replete with bookshelves on two walls, where you can access one of the two ground-floor terraces. The larger formal living room brings a modern flavour with a twist: contemporary furnishings and a large TV sit beneath antique maps.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
Between the two living spaces lies the kitchen, another modern enclave in a sea of maritime curiosities. With cabinetry bedecked in dark greys paired with modern fixtures and amenities, this space is as easy as any to cook up a feast. Serve your degustation at the nearby dining table or dine al fresco in the adjoining private courtyard, a huge green space with an outdoor table for six.
BEDROOMS
Venture downstairs and be greeted by the spacious principal bedroom. Boasting a huge king-sized bed, this room features rustic timber furniture and a large model of an early 20th century ocean liner. The two remaining bedrooms both feature trundle beds that can be configured as either a single or a king-sized bed; both rooms offer skylights to provide natural light from the floor above, as well as round ‘porthole’ windows to the hallway.
BATHROOMS
The sprawling primary bathroom is also found downstairs, and like the rest of the home, it’s overflowing with character. A towering sideboard in dark timber commands the centre of the room; around it, a large bath, walk-in shower and double wash basins are also featured. A separate WC can be found near the entryway of the home.
WE LOVE
The true uniqueness of the home – with its narrow walkways, rope balustrades and quirky décor, this will be a stay you won’t forget.
**To rent this property, the minimum age requirement is 25 years old.**
Home Truths:
No smoking, pets or parties. Please note the apartment is located on the ground floor, with the bedrooms and bathrooms being on the basement level. Although we always endeavour for accuracy, there may be rare occasions where the listing photography and description do not provide an exact representation of the home’s amenities.
