About this property
Seaview at Merton Hall, Newport
Seaview (Golwg y Mor) is a cosy one bedroom apartment near Newport, Pembrokeshire with sea views from the bedroom, sitting room and patio. A wing of Merton Hall, a detached house set in lovely grounds of 3 acres in Dinas Cross, it has direct footpath access to the nearby coast and hills. It is also close to the coast bus route – so no need to use your car. The owners live in Merton Hall and are there to help in any way if needed.
As well as wonderful walking there are lovely beaches close by. The footpath from the side gate leads to Aberbach cove (10 minutes walk) which is always quiet as there is no parking. There are beaches either side of Dinas Head, Pwllgwaelod and Cwm yr Eglwys, as well as the sands at Newport.
Seaview is between Fishguard and Newport (about 4 miles to each), both attractive small towns with lots of pubs and restaurants. In Dinas Cross itself, there are two pubs and a bar/restaurant on the beach at Pwllgwaelod. There are also two shops for groceries and a post office.
