7 Prendergast is a beautifully renovated stone cottage, situated in the heart of Lower Solva, nestling into the side of this pretty wooded valley, just a short walk from the picturesque harbour, water and Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. This stunning traditional cottage offers contemporary comfort and style with an eclectic mix of rustic antique pieces. The hallway gives plenty of space for walking boots and coats, it leads with 1 step down into the spacious kitchen/diner with bespoke modern, fitted, kitchen, the centre piece is the wonderful Aga for cooking and wooden dining table. Off this lies up 1 step, a very practical galley style utility area and door to the rear terraced garden, accessed via a number of metal steps. While the garage gives ample space to store bikes, kayaks and even a small boat, so perfect for outdoor and water sport enthusiasts.The living room is ideal for relaxing with a wooden floor, beams and large wood burning stove to snuggle around on chillier evenings, French doors open to the steps to the elevated garden and stairs lead to the spacious bedrooms above nestling in the eaves with a Scandinavian simplistic beauty, white washed wooden floors and beams await with comfy beds and fresh white linen. One of the double bedrooms has French doors opening to the garden, steps up to the super elevated terraced lawn with decked patio, set above the roof tops it offers stunning views across the wooded valley and towards the harbour, enjoy leisurely alfresco meals or just an evening drink while you soak up the view and listen to the soothing sounds of the bubbling stream in the bottom on the valley.Perfect for keen walkers, footpaths abound, join the footpath at the top of the garden which takes you downhill to the harbour in Solva and the small sandy in-let, children will love crabbing off the wall or a 15-20 minute walk will take you to Solva’s Woollen Mill, well worth a visit. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the harbour to explore this stunning coastline on foot, take advantage of the Puffin Shuttle bus for a lift back, there are a range of pubs, restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops all within a few minutes walk in Solva. Venture further afield with the wonderful, long, sandy beach at Newgale, popular with surfers, both beginners and professionals alike, you can hire equipment from the surf shop and take lessons, or enjoy refreshments from the beachside pub and cafe. To the west lies the famous tiny City of St Davids with an excellent range of facilities, do not miss the majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace, be sure to try the Welsh cakes from Mamgu. Enjoy a boat trip from nearby St Justinians either around or land on the island of Ramsey, the bird and wildlife will amaze, particularly the seal pups in September. There are a range of beautiful beaches all within a short drive, one of the highlights has to be Whitesands beach.7 Prendergast is sure to become a firm favourite to which you will just long to return.
