Rosemary Cottage is a charming traditional stone cottage that has been renovated and extended to create a stunning contemporary holiday home nestling in beautiful countryside down a quiet lane, only 1.5 miles from the wonderful Cleddau Estuary.Deceptively spacious it is a real tardis, a large open plan living space has been added to the original cottage with vaulted ceiling and wooden floors, it has a contemporary Scandinavian feel and the fully glazed wall ensures a light and airy feel. The modern, white fitted kitchen with large central island is ideal for preparing family meals, this opens through to the sitting/dining room overlooking the wonderful garden. The wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on the chilliest of evenings. Sliding doors open to a large, paved terrace a wonderful sheltered spot to dine alfresco on a summer’s evening, steps and a slope lead up to the raised lawn that wraps around the cottage, with mature trees and fruit orchard, it extends to 2 acres with adjoining paddock, a paradise to bees and butterflies, it gives plenty of space to relax and unwind and children to play.The bedrooms and bathroom in the original cottage are spacious and light with wooden floors, beams and whitewashed paneled walls, they make cool retreats after busy days exploring the local area. The owner has discreetly converted the garage to their own holiday home across the driveway. Perfectly positioned to explore this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire, yet tucked away, bird and wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element. Keen walkers will delight in the extensive flower-filled country lanes and the maze of footpaths, explore the Cleddau Estuary or secret waterway on foot with its sleepy waterside villages, many with welcoming country pubs on its shores, including Cresswell Quay with its summer charity barbecues, Lawrenny which has wonderful waterside tearooms and Carew with its majestic medieval Castle hosting a variety of events over the summer. Even better explore by boat. The estuary is perfect for keen sailors wishing to venture further afield or kayakers looking for a slower pace to life.There are a number of fantastic beaches to explore, take in the seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot with their range of facilities and beautiful golden sands, alternatively visit the picturesque bays of Manorbier, Lydstep and Freshwater East.
