About this property
The Granary, holiday property Trecwn, Sleeps 2, 1 bedrooms, bathrooms
The Granary is a quality, barn conversion next to the owners farmhouse on their 80 acre working farm with pedigree sheep. Set on the outskirts of the village of Trecwn in the heart of the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.Wonderfully renovated to a high standard, yet retaining its original charm with slate window sills and oak carpentry and floors. Stairs lead up to the light, open plan living space on the first floor with beautifully fitted kitchen and cosy sitting area with wood burning effect fire for chillier evenings. Wonderful 360 degree views can be enjoyed over the farmyard and rolling countryside towards Mathry and St Davids, while on a clear day you will appreciate how close the coast is with distant sea views. Step out from the kitchen onto the raised south facing sun terrace, a really sunny spot to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine, while you soak up the stunning views out over the farm. The pretty bedroom and well-appointed bathroom below complete the picture. Enjoy relaxing on the lawned garden across the yard on a summer's evening, beautifully planted and maintained by the owners, listen to the water tinkling into the newly landscaped pond. Ideally located, it is a dog owner’s paradise, explore the many footpaths nearby with a number of circular walks through farmland and woodland starting on your doorstep. Less than five miles away lies the wild Preseli Hills and the Gwaun Valley - an area of unspoilt natural beauty. A short 10 minute drive takes you to the coast and to the bustling town of Fishguard with all its facilities and quaint Lower Town harbour and quayside. West lies the rocky coves and beaches of Abermawr and Aberbach and the fishing village of Abercastle.Conveniently located to really explore all aspects that Pembrokeshire has to offer, yet tucked away - a wonderful romantic retreat for couples to escape to all year.Cot and highchair available on request.
