About this property
Carpenters Cottage, Wighton, Norfolk
This attractive Grade II listed country cottage tucked away in the pretty rural village of Wighton, is a mere four miles inland from North Norfolk's beautiful coastline. And with a great pub serving locally sourced food right on the doorstep, a stay at Carpenters Cottage means you can enjoy the best of both worlds.
Sympathetically renovated to a high standard, Carpenters Cottage presents as a super cosy, very comfortable, inviting cottage, just made for two - the perfect spot for a peaceful escape from the rigours of daily life at any time of the year. The country cottage styled interiors are a visual delight and invite total relaxation. With a smart new fitted kitchen/diner with a barn door to open on a sunny morning to greet the day, and an inviting sitting room with a mellow lived-in air and a wood burning stove to light when extra warmth is the order of the day, you can happily settle in for a night catching up with your favourite television series. When you are ready to retire, upstairs on the first floor you will find an enticing king-size bedroom, with the convenience of a bathroom with bath and shower facilities just across the landing. Outside, at the rear of the cottage, is a large, fenced garden (great for dogs to run around in) that looks across open paddocks to the village church in the distance.
If you prefer to eat out, there's no need to take the car - just walk round to The Carpenter's Arms, the popular village pub which serves great ale and food to match. For walkers and cyclists, there are plenty of lanes and trails to keep you happy. If you don't wish to bring your own bikes with you On Yer Bike, based just outside the village offers both cycle hire and route maps. When you feel like exploring further afield, this lovely cottage offers an ideal base for getting out and about both along the coast and around rural North Norfolk.
Additional Information:
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Please bring your own pods for Nespresso coffee machine (standard pods).
Synthetic pillows and duvets.
