About this property
Rhiwson Uchaf, Lampeter
Combining the best of old and new, from massive oak beams to a blissful hot tub, Rhiwson Uchaf is set amid some of the most unspoilt countryside in the UK on our 180 acre working sheep farm. A sympathetically renovated Grade II listed Welsh longhouse built around 1650-1700, it still retains many of its original features, including oak flooring and beams, wall paintings dating back to 1700, original inglenook fireplace and slate dairy sinks.
Within reach of both the Cardigan Bay coast and the Cambrian Mountains, this is a perfect location for walking, cycling, fishing or just relaxing in peaceful surroundings. You are welcome to roam 180 acres, enjoying the local West Wales wildlife - Red Kites, Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Nuthatches and squirrels – and of course, the sheep.
Rhiwson Uchaf is about 30 minutes away from the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay and is convenient for a wide range of fishing villages, beaches, towns, shops, pubs and restaurants. The well-known Brechfa Forest mountain biking trails are only a 15 minute drive away. Llanybydder is the nearest small town with shops and eateries, with Lampeter a little further away. The owner, who lives nearby, is happy to help with local knowledge if required.
