About this property
Villa in Orvieto Summ
Summary:
This 1 bedroom villa in Orvieto oozes elegance, sophistication and comfort. It offers guests an extremely luxurious base in which to stay in Umbria. It is perfect both for couples or even those travelling on business who want a bit of indulgence.
The Space:
Villa Orvieto occupies part of a historic palazzo whose history spans 3000 years. It really does offer the best of both worlds. Guests are in the heart of Orvieto where everything is within easy reach on foot. But this property also has the most wonderful gardens. These provide a haven of peace and tranquility to return to after a day spent sightseeing. Outdoor furniture is provided allowing guests to dine al fresco or simply relax with a glass of wine. There is also an additional roof terrace which we can highly recommend for a sunset aperitivo!
When you arrive, you will be welcomed in the historic salon of the palazzo, a beautiful space exquisitely furnished and decorated. An elevator will take you from here to the entrance of your accommodation.
The living area in this villa in Orvieto is extremely spacious. To one side there is a large and comfortable corner sofa. To the other side is a well equipped kitchen complete with breakfast bar seating four. It is well equipped with an oven, induction hob and fridge. There is also both an American and Italian coffee machine. The room offers lovely views above the rooftops of the town from a Juliet balcony.
The property also has a bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom is extremely large with oversized shower. The bedroom oozes luxury and sophistication. The bed linen is of the highest quality. Egyptian cotton sheets have been hand sewn and embroidered locally in Orvieto. Curtains and cushions have been made using silk and linen fabrics not from Italy but also imported from England and France. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
Guests also enjoy use of a fully equipped communal gym, outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. A concierge service is also provided free of charge.
The owners have designed the space to ensure that guests could want for nothing. To ensure your stay is practical as well as luxurious, a washing machine and dryer has been provided in your villa in Orvieto. However, should you prefer someone else to do the washing, we can provide a laundry service too. Please note that a daily housekeeping service is also provided free of charge during your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Villa Piera can be found at the very heart of the historic centre of Orvieto, just a 4 minute walk from the Duomo. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes, bars and historical sites within easy reach on foot.
Getting Around:
Children aged 12 and over are welcome at Villa Piera. For those with mobility issues, the property enjoys access via an elevator. Doorways and corridors are also wide to ensure wheelchair access is possible to all areas. On request and if required, the property can also be configured for those with disabilities.
Other Things to Note:
The owners have gone out of their way to ensure that every guests stay is as luxurious and enjoyable as possible at this villa in Orvieto. Villa Piera genuinely does provide the best of both worlds - all the privacy and comfort of a self catering villa in Orvieto but with all the luxuries of a hotel stay. For example, there is a daily complimentary breakfast service along with a daily turn down service too should you want it. And all guests will be treated to a free bottle of wine on arrival too. Not only that but guests will also receive a complimentary copy of 'Piera', a novel written by the mother of the owner. The book is fascinating and describes her survival and love story during World War II in both Italy and Greece. Should guests wish, the owners would also be delighted to organise an accompanied walking tour either along all or part of the 5 kilometre long Anello della Rupe path, or within Orvieto itself. For those staying for a week or more, you will also be welcome to enjoy a complimentary dinner at this villa in Orvieto too.
