About this property

Luxury Farmhouse in Mountain Location | Cwmain

Cwmain is an 18th centuary luxury farmhouse in a mountain location. This traditional stone built welsh cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and sits in an idyllic location high up in the hills of North Wales. Modern facilities such as underfloor heating and fitted kitchen units sit comfortably along side carefully retained character features.

A large entrance hall leads off to a joyfull playroom, a spacious utility room complete with washing machine and tumble dryer, a convenient ground floor WC and then finally a wonderful country cottage kitchen. The kitchen includes some nice cream fitted units under a dark work surface all sitting on a quarry-tiled floor. An impressive cooking range sits to one side of the room whilst a large fridge freezer stands proudly near the window. The kitchen is also large enough to accommodate a small breakfast table and chairs. A separate larder ensures that there's plenty of room for all the supplies that your family will need during your stay.

Family diners can have no better stage than the adjoining dining room. A large oval table is surrounded by some beautiful wooden chairs. A small log fire within a stone helps create a wonderful cozy atmosphere helped, of course, by the warm floor tiles. Some antique furniture and beautiful side lamps add a real touch of class to the room.

The lounge houses another log fire. A larger version this time sitting within a striking inglenook fireplace. A large flat screen tv sits to one side and a sumptuous wrap around sofa curves around the opposite two walls. Some lovely wall lighting and a sash window overlooking the surrounding fields provides light.

We return to the dining room to climb the stairs to the first floor. 5 bedrooms in total. Two double rooms, two twin rooms and one smaller child's room with some bunk beds. All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished. A perfect mix of colours and fabrics has created individual rooms with their own character whilst sharing a real sense of style and grace. Outdone only by the views from the windows perhaps.

The master bedroom at the far end of the house has its own en-suite bathroom with modern shower. Two more family bathrooms on this floor. One of which has a large enamlled bath in addition to the WC and washbasin. The second family bathroom has a shower, WC and washbasin.

Sitting as it does on the Eastern edge of the National Park, this part of Snowdonia has the natural benefit of being easily accessible from the English road network.
