About this property

Spectacular Harbour and Mountain Views, Porthmadog, Snowdonia, Sleeps 9

Ty Harbwr is a Victorian 4 storey terraced house located in the bustling historic harbour town of Porthmadog.

The house benefits from amazing uninterrupted Harbour and Snowdonia Mountain views.

Ty Harbwr accommodates a total of 9 people with 4 bedrooms & 2.5 bathrooms.

The house has been lovingly refurbished over the winter and spring of 2023/24 and will be completed and ready for guests from May 2024 onwards.

The photos will be updated throughout the month of April 2024.
The space
The layout of Ty Harbwr is as follows

Lower Ground Floor (Garden/ Patio level);

Large Kitchen/ Diner & WC

The modern kitchen contains all the appliances and equipment to cater for big family meals. Appliances include an oven, hob, large freestanding 70:30 fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle (essential !), De'Longhi Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine, large slow cooker and 4 slice toaster.

There is a large dining table and chairs to comfortably seat 9.

Next to the dining table, there is also a sofa area to accommodate relaxed pre or post meal chatter.

Patio doors lead out onto the small fenced patio area where guests can enjoy those spectacular harbour views from the garden bench or picnic table.

There is also a separate WC provided on this level.

Ground (Street Level);

There are 2 lounges provided on this level.

A larger one to the rear to enjoy those amazing views and then a smaller lounge to the front (earmarked for the kids!). Both lounges have flat screen TVs.

First Floor;

There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. A good sized king room (with the views) and then a smaller king room to the front of the house (street view). Please note that the king bed in this bedroom room is pushed up against the wall, so this particular bedroom may not suit everyone in your group.

There are also two bathrooms on the first floor. Specifically there is a family bathroom (with WC, sink & shower over a bath) and a shower room (WC, sink and enclosed shower cubicle).

Second Floor;

On the second (top) floor, there are two bedrooms.

A spacious family bedroom is located at the back (again, with those views) and comprises a king bed and a single bed.

The final bedroom is twin bedroom that is located to the front of the house.

The location of Ty Harbwr is fantastic and provides easy access to Porthmadog town centre (a 2 minute walk) with all it's many cafes, shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. In the opposite direction the gorgeous village and beaches of Borth y Gest are only a 10 to 15 minute walk away.

The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railways can be boarded in Porthmadog. Or alternatively you can watch the steam trains chug backwards and forwards from the comfort of your own sofa. You can easily spot the steam trains from Ty Harbwr as they travel along the Cob, which is a man-made causeway built in 1811 across the Afon Glaslyn Estuary.

Further afield, Porthmadog is only a stones throw from the spectacular Snowdonia National Park and all the activities on offer. It is equally perfectly positioned for all the amazing beaches that can be found all along the beautiful Llyn Peninsula and Cambrian Coast. The beaches of Black Rock Sands, Harlech, Criccieth, Abersoch etc etc, all of which are all within an easy drive.
Other things to note
***** Please note that as Ty Harbwr is a terraced house, located in a quiet area with neighbours either side. Unfortunately we can only accept bookings from quiet family groups or mature/sensible groups of friends. Loud music, partying and drunken behaviour is strictly prohibited. The outside patio area must also be vacated by 9pm at the latest. Sorry :<(

We welcome one or two well behaved dogs, although we ask that dogs are strictly not allowed upstairs (we provide a stairgate) or on the furniture.
If you bring a dog, an additional cleaning charge of £35 is applied to the cost of the holiday. Thank you.

Easy, unrestricted on-street parking can be found on Garth Road, directly outside Ty Harbwr. At busy times you may have to park further up Garth Road. Alternatively there are many car parks within easy walking distance of Ty Harbwr.
