About this property

The Pump, the old village water pump, nestled in the cobbled streets

The Pump boasts one of the best positions of the traditional Cornish cottages in Port Isaac, North Cornwall. Just steps from the picturesque fishing harbour that played host to the TV series Doc Martin, this immaculate self-catering holiday property sleeps 6 guests in 3 double bedrooms with 2 shower rooms, one being an en-suite. Offering stylish, spacious accommodation across two floors with period features, including slate floors, wooden beams and Cornish stone walls and a sun drenched patio to the front of the property with offsite parking available.

As its name suggests, The Pump was used as one of the old village water pumps right up until the 1950s when it was finally sealed off in the early 1970s. The whole of the ground floor has been opened to create a large open living space with a modern kitchen, dining area and lounge. You can cosy up by the roaring wood burner to watch a family movie and put your feet up with a glass of wine and a favourite novel. The chic living area has plenty of comfy sofas to relax in. The property has been decorated in a boutique hotel style, with a generous master double bedroom and en-suite shower room, and two further double bedrooms, both sharing a separate shower room.
The bustling harbour at Port Isaac is just a short walk down through the town along its pretty winding streets. There are plenty of delicious cafes and fine restaurants on offer, along with shops and galleries just perfect for a spot of retail therapy. At low tide, children will love exploring the rock pools and shells left on the beach and walking out to the harbour wall. Venture out on the coastal paths to take in the breathtaking scenery and coastline. Wander down to adjacent Port Gaverne for a spot of wild swimming followed by hot chips and a pint in the Port Gaverne Inn.
