About this property
Old Post Office - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 6
Nestled along the serene south coast of Cornwall, Golant is a charming waterside village which beckons adventurers keen on hiking, cycling and fishing. Its scenic riverfront invites boating enthusiasts and anglers, while opportunities for boat excursions and kayak/SUP rentals abound nearby, complemented by a cosy village pub cherished by locals and visitors alike. This abode offers a prime location for exploring nearby attractions like the renowned Eden Project and the enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan. For a day out at the beach, Readymoney Cove (4 miles) is a small sandy beach with calm waters, making it ideal for families and swimmers. The cove is sheltered by cliffs and has views of St. Catherine's Castle, adding to its charm. Polkerris Beach (4 miles) is located a little further east of Golant offering a beautiful stretch of sand with clear waters. It's a popular spot for water sports enthusiasts, offering opportunities for sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding. The beach is backed by a pub and a restaurant, perfect for a post-beach meal or drink.
Step inside this beautiful house and into a large open-plan lounge/diner; with its wonderful wood burner and comfortable sofas, this really is a lovely spot to snuggle up in front of the Smart TV and relax. The dining table has plenty of space for all the family and makes for a great spot to crack out a board game or catch up around the table. The kitchen is through an open doorway and is light, bright and very well equipped, full of natural light and modern appliances. Next door is a very handy utility room with access to an outside courtyard where you can kick off your boots or store your paddleboards. You also have a downstairs shower room on this floor. Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, two of them offering wonderful views of the river and beyond. The master boasts an en-suite shower room with WC, whilst the main bathroom with a shower over the bath completes this floor.
