About this property
Rose Cottage - Abbotsham
A home providing a truly wonderful blend of original and contemporary style Nestled along the picturesque coast of North Devon, this homely cottage sits within the hidden gem village of Abbotsham. With its stunning vistas of rolling hills meeting the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Abbotsham offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Adventure awaits less than 0.5 miles away at The Big Sheep, a family-friendly attraction offering farmyard fun and thrilling rides, whilst the lively local pub/restaurant in the village itself is a must for those seeking a hearty meal or evening tipple. The property sits less than 1 mile from the South West Coast Path, perfect for a coastal walk. History buffs can delve into the past at historic Hartland Abbey and Gardens (13 miles) or wander the cobbled streets of Clovelly (10 miles), whilst those looking for golden sands and turquoise waters can enjoy the sun-kissed beach at nearby Westward Ho! (2 miles) which is complete with a fine array of local amenities too.
Upon entering this light and spacious home you will soon notice the care and attention which has gone into blending original features with contemporary touches to create a fabulous home-from-home. Making your way through the front entrance will bring you into the hallway where you can slip off those muddy boots and sandy shoes before heading on through to the kitchen/diner. The kitchen space is well equipped with everything needed for a stress-free stay. The dining table and chairs invites all to enjoy a hearty meal or enjoy a morning cuppa while you sit and plan the day’s adventures ahead. Stroll back on through into the lounge, a welcoming space featuring a warming wood burner for those chillier evenings, two large sofas and additional beanbag seating to recline in comfort whilst watching a favourite film or programme on the Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is the garage-cum-utility space and downstairs shower room with WC. When the night draws in, retreat upstairs to your choice of four bedrooms comprising two king-size, one double and one twin room, all of which provide ample clothing space. Completing the accommodation are two bathrooms, one providing a bath and WC, and the other a shower and WC.
Stepping outside from the kitchen/diner onto the terrace will not only open your eyes to the stunning views across the rolling countryside, but lead you to a beautiful, enclosed garden with your very own bubbling hot tub. The outside space provides the perfect sunset spot on those warm Devon evenings. There is also comfortable outdoor seating and lawn space for all to sit back and relax.
