About this property
Shepherd's Rest, Llangrannog
Shepherd's Rest is a pretty holiday lodge for 2 plus 1 dog, set within its own garden on a smallholding in the village of Llangrannog, Ceredigion. Ideal for a relaxing break surrounded by beautiful countryside and ideal for walkers who can access the Ceredigion Coast path just a short way from the door.
The ground floor accommodation provides a comfortable open-plan living and dining area and the patio is the perfect spot to watch Red Kites soaring overhead. Surrounded by animals kept on the smallholding, and within full view of local wildlife including badgers and foxes it is a lovely place to come back to after a day on the beach or exploring the area.
Shepherd's rest is just a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk to Llangrannog village centre with its pubs, cafés, and pizza takeaway. There is a small farm shop selling an array of local produce just 150 yards away.
Llangrannog is popular for its sandy beaches and fabulous views of Cardigan Bay. Join the 60-mile Ceredigion Coast Path directly from the village to enjoy miles of spectacular coastal scenery and watch out for the resident bottlenose dolphins. To the north, you will find the pretty hamlet of Cwm Tydu and the seaside village of New Quay. The National Trust beach at Penbryn and the village of Tresaith are nearby.
Further away the Georgian town of Aberaeron has a pretty harbour and brightly coloured houses and the market town of Cardigan, 13 miles drive away has supermarkets and a selection of cafés, pubs, and independent shops.
