LOCATION

Sunset Cottage is wonderfully located within the small village of Boscaswell in the heart of the far west of Cornwall. The area around here is a really magical place, located near to Pendeen it is often referred to as ‘Poldark Country’, it is in many ways untouched by modern-day life with its tin mining relics and unspoiled coastline. If you’re looking for a walker’s paradise to explore and to be off the beaten track then the comfort of this wonderful home is the perfect spot to do so. This part of West Cornwall showcases some of the most magnificent sunsets, and you can experience these from the comfort of aptly named Sunset Cottage.

You can walk straight to the outstanding Pendeen Lighthouse, historic Geevor mine, or peaceful Portheras Cove, a stunning locals beach so don't forget your walking boots. For surfers, hop in the car and you can be down on Sennen or Gwenver beaches, both a short drive away. You won’t be disappointed by the stretch of golden sands, dunes and crystal-clear water and popular surf break.

At the end of a day of beaching, head to one of the local pubs: The North Inn or The Queens Arms are both lovely for a sundowner in the garden or good pub grub. The wonder of Pendeen is that you’re never far from some of Cornwall’s best bits - grab an ice cream from the Moomaids Café in St Just square only 10 minutes away, or dine out in St Ives in less than 30 minutes or spend the day on the magical St Michaels Mount.

We also ask that children are always supervised when outside. This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming.
