Explore the gorgeous southern Tuscan countryside from this contemporary flat in the town of Sarteano. This holiday home sleeps up to 4 people and is an ideal base for a family or friends.

The entrance to the flat is either via the garage or through a private garden, with a small lawn and children’s toys on the shaded veranda. The veranda is an extension of the indoor living space, with armchairs and a coffee table where guests can relax. There is also a dining table and chairs for meals al fresco.

Double glass doors (with mosquito netting) lead into the main living space. The decor is colourful and modern. There is a sofa, opposite a wood-burning stove. The dining table is between the seating area and the kitchen. The wooden, fitted kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and fridge/freezer.

Sleeping
Bedroom: The master bedroom is an eye-catching mint green with a double bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Double French windows open onto the shaded veranda.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable bed.

Bathroom
The tiled bathroom is appointed with a shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Location
Sarteano is a delightful town perched on a plateau between the Val d\'Orcia and the Valdichiana with breathtaking views. Its 11th-century castle dominates the town and is well worth a visit. As is the famous Tomb of the Hellish Quadriga, an ancient Etruscan necropolis, which was only discovered in 2023.


In addition to its fascinating historical sights, Sarteano has all the amenities guests will need, restaurants, bars, grocery shops and supermarkets. The town’s weekly market takes place every Friday morning and is the best place to find the freshest local and seasonal produce.

Some of the finest wine, Vino Nobile, can be found in Montepulciano (27 minutes). Here you can find several cellars where you can buy the famous red wine directly from the producers. The town of Montepulciano makes a lovely day trip, with its Medieval and Renaissance squares and winding streets, which house some excellent restaurants.

For a relaxing day out, Chianciano Terme (10 minutes) is one of the most popular spa destinations in Europe. Their thermal springs have been enjoyed since Etruscan times. Alternatively, the charming village of Bagno Vignoni (35 minutes) also offers thermal springs and its famous water-filled square.

The closest airport is in Perugia - San Francesco D\'Assisi 1 hour 15 minutes, slightly further is Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci airport - 1 hour 30 minutes. Gas charges to be paid on the spot: EUR 0.40 per m3
