About this property
Architecturally designed fishing warehouse conversion
We love this part of Cornwall, and found Newlyn to be a great to stay and explore the area, from the stunning coastline and beaches to art galleries and food scene.
From the moment you walk-in, our home has the wow factor - it is a converted fishing warehouse, blending exposed stone walls with contemporary finishes such as triple height galleried ceiling and floating oak staircases. With our addition of local artists' work, it truly is a stunning and relaxing place to stay.

The space
This modern interior but captures the history and charm of this converted fishing warehouse to an impeccable finish. If you are looking for a place to stay with walking distance to some amazing eateries this is a gem! All with easy walking distance you could be eating fresh fish at the famous award winning Mackerel Sky, The Tolcarne Inn and not forgetting everyone who visits Newlyn must try a Jelbert's ice cream, with a topping of local clotted cream! Some might say you will not need your car while staying.
Once you enter from the quiet street you find the architect designed features giving the wow factor. You will be greeted by a bespoke oak floating staircases, triple height galleried ceilings and glass balustrades. The home owners support and celebrate local artists and you will enjoy paintings and sculptures they have especially chosen for this special place.
For those that what to cook the open-plan kitchen and dining area with exposed stone wall is bright and airy. From here you enter the large living room with French doors leading onto the patio overlooking the river. Perfect for a BBQ or glass or the local gin, rum or wine. The living space is perfect to sit and relax or have game on the football table. If you fancy a lazy day watching a film you will find 55 inch 4K TV with full surround sound system and high-speed fibre broadband.
Walking up the floating oak staircase you will find 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 guests, two on the second floor and the large master on the third floor. With 3 bathrooms you will all have space and privacy. It should be noted that although the master bedroom on its on the third floor, there is no door at the top of the stair case that leads up to the master bedroom suite. The master suite has a king sized bed and beautifully furnished with an en-suite with twin sinks, toilet and double ended bath with a vellux window perfect for star gazing.
All the other bedrooms and both bright and thoughtful furnished with local artwork on the walls. You will find an additional king-size and double bed, plus a wet room with waterfall shower and a bathroom featuring a sunken bath.
The property is heated by geothermal heat source powered by the adjacent Newlyn Coombe River, which is overlooked by outside terrace.
There are two parking spaces outside the property which we use if free, if not we always find parking on adjacent streets or 2 car parks nearby.
