Welcome to Ty Bedwen, a Norwegian log cabin in Dinas Mawddwy, a tranquil village on the southern edge of the Eyri/Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. It comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The open plan layout comprises a kitchen, dining area and lounge. The living space is comfortably furnished, while the kitchen has everything you’ll need. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Outside is a large garden area with ample seating, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty and fresh air, and the numerous birds. Watch with awe the military jets flying overhead.
The area has some of the most spectacular landscapes in Wales, offering a wealth of attractions. From the village, there are waymarked walks, and the lovely Llew Coch (Red Lion) serves traditional pub meals. Snowdon itself is approximately an hour’s drive away. Cader Idris is more local.
For the more active, there are graded mountain bike trails from the Coed y Brenin visitor centre. Several zip wires are available for the more adventurous! Steam railways, castles and lakes to explore. Bala Lake is very family-friendly, with kayaks, sailboards etc for hire. Corris Craft Centre and Arthur’s Cave. The high pass of Bwlch y Groes is one of the highest public road mountain passes in Wales, the scenic route to Lake Vyrnwy, with breathtaking views. Beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne are a half-hour’s drive away. In summary, Ty Bedwen is the ideal base for walkers and nature lovers.

Please be aware that Ty Bedwen is located on the Mach 3 loop for military aircraft training. Jets, passenger planes and helicopters fly past on Mon-Fri, not every day, but the jets, particularly, are loud! It's a marvellous sight, of course!
