About this property
Goat Street Cottage, Holiday Cottage St Davids, Sleeps 5, 3 bedrooms, bathrooms
Goat Street Cottage is a wonderful end of terrace stone cottage set in the heart of the super tiny City of St Davids with all its facilities on your doorstep and Caerfai Beach only 10 minutes’ walk away.Step into the gorgeous characterful cottage, beautifully and sympathetically furnished in a mix of modern and traditional antique pieces, complimented by welcoming touches of rich Welsh blankets from the nearby Woollen Mill, and pictures by local artists. It is decorated in warm calming tones, reflecting nature and the colours of the land and sea. The hallway leads through to the open plan living space with comfortable sitting room, the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on the chilliest of evenings, this arches through to the dining room and to the compact modern fitted well-equipped kitchen. The utility area opens out to the enclosed sheltered, private courtyard style rear garden, a veritable walled sun trap, enjoy dining alfresco or simply relax with a morning coffee or a glass of wine on a summer’s evening, while the side access makes it ideal for keen cyclists and surfers.Stairs lead up to the bedrooms above and the luxurious bathroom, enjoy a soak in the wonderful bath or a refreshing shower. The one double bedroom gives views towards Carn Llidi in the distance the Cathedral and Bishops Palace to the rear of the cottage. A boat trip from St Justinians is a must, either head round the islands of Skomer, Ramsey and Grassholm, or visit Ramsey Island, the bird and wildlife will enthrall and in September the mournful cries of the seal pups will never be forgotten.
