The house is situated 5 minutes walk from the railway and bus stations ideal for exploring the area (especially on the brilliant open top bus). The Scillonian ferry is a fifteen minute walk away if you want to visit the Scillies by boat.
There are a wide and eclectic selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, cinemas and theatres within a short walk of the house. There is a lovely, dramatic walk from the front door along the bay to the iconic St Michael's Mount which takes about 1 hour (15 mins by car or bus). Penzance is a quirky town with plenty of character and characters. At it's heart are the sub-tropical gardens at Morrab Road and Penlee Park ( lovely outdoor theatre and cafe).
The renowned fishing port of Newlyn is a 45 min walk along the promenade and Coastal Path where you can treat yourself to the finest fish, crab and lobster in the country or let one of the excellent chefs show off their skills with the amazing local produce.
Sea and air trips can be easily arranged and are on the doorstep of the house. Electric bikes can be hired as can traditional bicycles so you can get a real feel for the area. Other activities available include surfing, kite-surfing, SUP, wild swimming, diving, riding and swimming with horses in Mounts Bay.
There are beaches which are walkable from the house and a dozen of the best beaches in Cornwall within 25 mins drive.
