A tricky time of the year!

We've stayed previously next door at the The Duke (which is why we came back to stay at The Duchess). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Duchess - the layout of the property lends itself very well to holiday-makers. The area is great, the location is peaceful but central enough to Bamburgh's amenities/beaches etc. Beautiful views from the hot tub. Surprisingly we found that the space wasn't as clean as we'd come to expect from having stayed next door - we also encountered some issues with faulty equipment (which given the time of year, Steven was unable to resolve during our stay - though financial recompense was offered and gratefully received. We suspect our issues were linked to the time of year, as we'd not had issues like this before with the same owners/managing agents. We'd happily return.

Family weekend

We had a fantastic get-together for a family of 3 generations. The weather was kind so we were able to play on the court. My grand-children are still in carriers and dogs well-trained so we walked over styles and fields to Bamburgh for a lovely beach walk. It’s a short drive if you have a pram or are unwilling to walk a section on the busy road. The Duchess was clean and comfortable.
