Glyfada Central
Great quiet location that is not touristy yet close to central Athens (45 minute tram ride) as well as a number of beaches, both organized and public.
There is a bakery, a mini-market and a wine store all right outside the door to the apartment. Restaurants and taverns all within a few blocks, and a nice cigar lounge about 5 minutes away.
Directions to find the keys were simple, (the lock on the outside door is a bit tricky) but we had no idea which unit was the apartment. There was difficulty contacting the manager (hint; download WhatsApp), when we did connect we realized that there was a sign right beside the door to the unit (I'm blaming jet lag for not seeing that immediately on entering).
The apartment is comfortable and clean, as shown in the pictures on line. Note that the mattress is very firm, but there were plenty of pillows, bed linens and towels.
The kitchen could benefit from the addition of some cooking utensils such as a spatula, a cutting board and a strainer. As well, the coffee cups provided were only espresso sized. If you're a tea drinker there is no tea pot and the espresso cups don't really cut it.
A manual or booklet explaining where everything is in the apartment and how it works would be helpful, as well as suggestions on the best beaches, restaurants, bars, where to find the tram and bus stops.
Over all a pleasant place to stay, especially if you don't want to endure the noise and crowding of central Athens.
