About this property

Pendeen Watch Cottage

Set in the quiet village of Pendeen, this 19th-century cottage is steeped in industrial roots. The former mining town of Pendeen is now a small, quiet village boasting an attractive church, and a pub just 500 metres away from your doorstep. High up on the exposed cliffs of the Tin Coast, part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, discover Levant Mine featuring a restored 1840s beam engine running on steam, open Sunday to Thursday, less than 1 mile away. The cottage is situated close to the South West Coast Path and is on the seasonal open-top bus route to St Ives. West Cornwall offers a wealth of tourist attractions to explore. Trengwainton Garden (6 miles) is set in 25 acres of sheltered gardens, bursting with exotic trees, flowers and shrubs.
A relaxing holiday is assured in this beautifully furnished cottage, with access through the secluded and welcoming front garden. Enter a spacious and comfortable lounge with a wood burner and Smart TV. Mind your head as three steps lead down to the dining area, with exposed stonework and plenty of seating for all, whether gathering around the dining table for family catchups or indulging in spirited rounds of board games. There is a fully equipped country-style kitchen where you will find all you need to prepare anything from picnics to memorable dinners. Head upstairs then to the right and down a couple of steps into the king-size bedroom, offering ample storage and sea views. The twin and single bedrooms have plenty of light and are dressed with calming furnishings for a restful night's sleep. To complete the accommodation, there is a contemporary shower room with a shower and WC.
Outside, the paved area at the rear of the property beckons with its inviting seating, perfect for al fresco dining and soaking up the scenery with the charcoal BBQ on the go. There's also an outhouse for storage, and provides a useful washing machine and tumble dryer.
