About this property
Elegant Historical Riverside Manor
Summary:
Perched on a hill overlooking the picturesque Lima River Valley, this historic manor house dates back to the 13th century, originally serving as a defensive tower. In the 18th century, the manor was revitalized by the esteemed Francisco De Araujo and Amorim, transforming it from a mere stronghold into a grand residence.
Throughout its storied history, the manor has been graced by several prominent figures. Among its notable owners were the Count of Santa Eulalia, a distinguished Portuguese diplomat renowned for sculpting the Sacred Heart of Jesus; Lord Peter Pitt; the illustrious Luis XIV of France; and the influential Cardinal Richelieu. Each has left their mark on the manor, contributing to its rich legacy and making it a landmark of historical and cultural significance.
The Space:
All the rooms and studios offer quality linens, bath amenities and individually controlled air-conditioning. Free Wi-Fi throughout the whole house.
Our living room has a fireplace and a Smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen with 40m2 guarantees that any chef can cook in it, with the addition of being able to use fresh products from our farm. The kitchenettes of our studios are also well equipped.
Being a family friendly accommodation, we have numerous items available to make the little ones’ stay easier, such as cots, highchairs, appropriate cutlery, and crockery, etc. To encourage outdoor experiences, we have available a wide range of raincoats and wellies.
Although the accommodation is at Meia-Lua, guests can visit the noble floor of the manor house, as well as its balcony, and have access to all grounds of manor.
