About this property

The Old Potting Shed, Egton Bridge, Yorkshire Coast

The Old Potting Shed is a detached property nestled within the dramatic wild landscape of the North York Moors National Park and surrounded by 6,000 acres of woodland, river, moors, and meadows on the Egton Estate. There are wonderful walks from the doorstep around the Estate or the Coast to Coast path which runs alongside it. Located just 6 miles from the popular fishing town of Whitby and a short walk from the picturesque Egton Railway Station.

Comfortably sleeping up to four guests, this chocolate box cottage is grade II listed. Set beneath the Estates canopy of ancient trees featuring an extensive garden, wood burning stove and two delightful bedrooms each with their own en-suite. Guests will instantly feel at home from the moment they step foot into the open-plan dining and sitting room with sumptuous seating flanking the wood burner to relax in on a winters evening. Guests can either choose to take the stairs at one end of the cottage to the Master bedroom and be utterly spoilt by the en-suite bathroom, home to the amazing free-standing bath overlooking the gardens to the rear. Alternatively, choose the second bedroom towards the other end with a 6' super king size bed and en-suite shower room.

For those seeking to cook whilst on their break in the heart of the North York Moors, the well-equipped kitchen has all you need to show off those cookery skills and spoil family and friends with a good hearty breakfast before your next adventure. Why not pack up a picnic on a fine day and head to one of many wide sandy beaches from Staithes to Robin Hood's Bay.
