The Boathouse did not sustain any damage to the building during the two hurricanes. The pool had to be cleaned out which has been done.
As of the beginning of 2025 the majority of restaurants on the island are back open as are the shops. The beaches have never looked better as the displaced sand was sieved, washed and returned to the beach which continues to be groomed.

Then welcome to our brand new guest house, which accommodates a maximum of two guests and is a completely private tropical oasis. Standing on the edge of Lake LaVista, surrounded by tropical palms where you have sole use of a a beautiful private pool which we heat during the winter months. Located in the desirable north end of Anna Maria you are steps from Pine Avenue and a short walk to both the beach and the bay. Two bicycles, beach chairs and a beach cart provided.
Our home is airy and light with vaulted ceilings and a comfortable and contemporary feel. Two AC zones allow you to control the temperature of both the bedroom and the living area..
A kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer, microwave/convection oven with air fryer, induction dual hotplate and dishwasher. Small appliances include a Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and electric kettle.

Plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge where there is a Samsung Smart TV.
The master bedroom has a king bed with a luxury firm Wink mattress. Built in closet space and a Samsung Smart TV. There is an en-suite bathroom with large walk in rain shower along with hand held shower with bluetooth speaker.
The home is supplied with pristine sheets and towels, including beach towels and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
The home comes complete with a Miele washing machine and dryer..
It is the outside that is nothing short of magical. The large deck, complete with a Weber gas grill and sun loungers overlooks the beautiful pool and the canal where you can almost touch the Manatees swimming by. On the first floor there is a further covered seating area with comfortable chairs perfect for curling up and reading a book.
The beautiful tropical garden is lit at night and enjoys a privacy that is hard to find elsewhere on the island as we are not overlooked from other homes.
A note about the pool heat. While the pool is heated during the winter months as with all pool heat, at times when the ambient temperature drops too low (50’s and 60’s) the heater will be unable to operate.
We do not operate the spa separately to the pool.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
When you are ready to explore there is a stop for the free Island Trolley just a minute away in front of the Anna Maria Historic Society Museum on Pine Avenue.
Located just one block north of Pine Avenue where you will find boutiques and restaurants - everything is easily accessible on foot or by bike.
The Anna Maria Community Theater, famous Sandbar Restaurant and world class beautiful beaches are at one end of Pine Avenue while at the other end you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Tampa Bay and the historic Anna Maria City Pier with the new Mote Marine satellite location. One of the islands' most popular restaurant's The Waterfront, is located here.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
We are happy to accommodate check ins on any day of the week. We request a 4 night minimum stay (7 during February, March and April) and a maximum stay of 14 nights. However should you find yourself looking for a last minute getaway then please contact us as we will accommodate shorter stays when possible.
My husband and I (and our adorable Goldendoodle) live in the main house. We are therefore always available to answer any questions you may have. But we also will respect your privacy. As long as you are happy, then we are happy!
The guest house is brand new and has never been rented prior to February 2023. Any reviews prior to this date were for the main house which was previously rented.
Unfortunately we are unable to host children or infants and we cannot make an exception.
