About this property

Grade II Listed Apartment, Central Frome

Summary:
This beautiful Grade II listed apartment offers a stylish bolthole in Frome. Located just off Catherine Hill, a medieval cobbled market street, it blends period features with modern Scandi-inspired furnishings. There’s ample room for two guests, with a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Meanwhile, next door is a luxurious bathroom with brass fittings and fixtures. Rustle up dinners in your stunning kitchen, then head to your living area to get the fire roaring as you watch a film on the projector.

The Space:
A stay in Frome is made all the more enjoyable when you choose this stylish apartment. Situated in a Grade II listed building dating back to the 1700s, you can expect ample period features throughout - from wooden sash windows and exposed wooden floorboards. And it’s layout is unique and charming too. You walk into the ground floor, where you’ll find the bedroom and kitchen. All of which have been expertly decorated with style and taste it looks straight out of an interior design magazine.

The muted-red kitchen is a total delight to cook in, boasting beautiful ceramic stoneware and elegant brass fittings which tie in perfectly with the bathroom on the next level. Head upstairs to the top floor to an open-plan living and dining area that’s flooded with natural light. Enjoy meals around the checker-board dining table before sinking into your linen sofa and getting the wood burner roaring (see notes section on logs).

This home is based in a sought-after location just off Frome’s cobbled market street. You’re just a short stroll from the heart of the town, where you’ll find lots of history to explore, as well as restaurants and shops to indulge in.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole apartment.

The Neighborhood:
You couldn’t ask for a better location in Frome. This charming market town in Somerset is known for its creative and independent spirit, and you’re right in the centre of it. Step out the door and explore the cobbled streets of St Catherine's Hill, lined with unique boutiques, galleries, and artisan shops. Visit the Frome Museum to delve into the town's rich history. Stroll along the picturesque River Frome or relax in Victoria Park. Catch a show at the renowned Merlin Theatre or enjoy live music at local venues.

Enjoy the bustling Frome Markets, held on various days during the month. The Frome Farmer's Market is on Wednesdays and Saturdays and is great for local produce. The much larger Frome Independent Market is on the first Sunday of each month. Here you'll find a vast array of local produce, artisan food stalls, crafts, and antiques. With its vibrant arts scene and historic charm, Frome offers a memorable experience for all visitors.

Once you've finished exploring Frome you can head over to nearby Bath. Known for being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with its quintessential Georgian architecture, stunning surrounding countryside and UNESCO-approved Roman Baths. Tucked away on cobbled lanes, it’s hard to resist stopping in at artisan shops, trendy cafés and characterful pubs. Find more information on local restaurants and amenities in the comprehensive guest guide, which is available upon booking.

Getting Around:
As the apartment sits right in the centre on a historic cobbled street, there is unfortunately no parking right outisde. However, Merchants Barton car park is only a 5 minute walk and Cattle Market car park is only a 7 minute walk. The cost is a maximum of £6.50 per day and is FREE on Sundays. There is also some free parking on the outskirts of town.

And once you're parked up, you won't need to go back to the car and can enjoy Frome on foot!

Other Things to Note:
Due to the size of the property, there is limited storage so we are not able to provide logs for the wood burner. There are lots of places where logs can be purchased nearby, however.

Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
