Outlander Experience

The Outlander Lodge is a unique experience for fans of the series to 'live the dream'.
This is our home, in a historic building and we ask you to be keep noise to a minimum in the communal areas.
When taking a shower please don't let the water flow over into the bathroom, keep your showers short (10 mins).
Small Alcove bed: If you are tall and/or mighty, pregnant check with us PRIOR to booking.
No smokers (not even occasional smokers)
No pets
No children
Maximum 2 adults occupancy
No parties
Access only through stairs - no lifts or disability features, sorry

House Rules - Please READ and ACCEPT before booking:-
Check in : 3pm to 10pm maximum if your arrival is after 10pm please contact us before booking, we will not be able to check you in.
- Check out : 10am
- Working mobile phone number in the UK is required (international numbers work well, we use wifi based messaging, so as long your mobile can connect to wifi or roaming will be fine)
- Your check in details will be sent to the registered mobile phone only. We will use the mobile registered on your account, unless you advise us otherwise
- Before booking: make sure you have downloaded whatsapp (for check in instructions only)
- No pets
- No children or adults under 25, in no circumstances
- Maximum occupancy : 2 absolute MAXIMUM guests
- No smoking, sadly we cant accommodate smokers (even occasional smokers, due to severe allergies).
- Occupancy: The property should be occupied at all times by the original guest making the booking (if you are giving this as a present to someone, please advise us first).
- ID checks are necessary.
- No parties
- No loud music - this is a historical building with residential use only
- No guests: for avoidance of doubt, No occupancy permitted other than a maximum of 2 guests, both clearly identified with host at the time of the booking.
- If you have any other purposes than a strictly residential stay(such as photoshoots or video/TV promotion), please clarify so before the booking is made by sending us a message with full details.
- Property information, VRBO details and communication with host : please note ALL information about the property is PRIVATE and should not, in any circumstances be shared with third parties without the prior consent of the hosts.
-Showers: maximum 10 minutes. Be mindful of not letting water flow out of the shower area into the bathroom.
- Mobility issues: the property is not suitable if you have mobility issues/ steps/stairs, no elevators.
- Sleeping arrangements: the property is suitable for solo occupancy or couples sharing a bed. The bed size is a small double, build in (alcove). Is very romantic but not suitable if you are a big and mighty couple. There are no other sleeping arrangements in the property, aka, the sofa is NOT suitable or big enough to be used for sleeping.
- Kitchen: the green glass goblets and copper cups/accessories are original antiques. Do not put on the dishwasher. Wash by hand if used. Normal porcelain cups and glasses are provided if you prefer to use them
- Fireplace/candles : strictly ornamental, PLEASE do not light candles, matches or anything in the property
- early check in, late check out: may be possible but not guaranteed. Charges may apply.
- On the day of your check in, your detailed instructions will be sent to your registered mobile phone on airbnb. We use a group messaging system that is free to download/use (what s app). Please contact us PRIOR to booking if you are unable to use it.
- Prior to check in, we will require you to confirm the following:
1. Full name and DOB of all guests
2. Your mobile number as listed on airbnb is correct and fully operational in the UK
3. Download the messaging app to receive detailed house codes/check in instructions
4. ALL guests have READ and ACCEPTED the House Rules
- After check in: we will ask you to send us a message confirming you have safely checked in and all is in order for you
- Quiet enjoyment: we will kindly ask you for your understanding and cooperation at check in/check out and during your stay, this is a VERY residential area, despite being based in a historical location. Is therefore understandable that some residents are strict and upset about noise inside/outside the building and heavy tourism. We would kindly ask you to be as quiet and discreet as possible (think as a resident, act as a resident) in the stairs/communal areas.
- This is our HOME. Our home is a special place for honeymoons, proposals and romantic celebrations. If you would like any special arrangements, please dont hesitate to share your ideas/requests.
