About this property
Cosy Victorian house in south London with a sunny private garden.
Beautiful, characterful and sunny Victorian family home set over two floors with 2 double bedrooms and a large bathroom - as well as a cosy private garden - in the Ladywell / Catford area of Lewisham, south-east London.
The Space:
We are an artist and architect couple and have slowly and lovingly renovated the interiors with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area downstairs and a small study space leading straight into the garden.
The Location:
The neighbourhood is a family-friendly area with excellent transport links into central London as well as nearby shops, supermarkets, parks and cafes. There's an illustrated House Guide that provides lots of useful information and tips about exploring the local area. Two train stations are just a 10 minute walk away with frequent connections to central London (Charing Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge, Kings Cross St Pancras) in 9 - 20 minutes. There are also lots of buses at the end of our street to Greenwich, Blackheath and Dulwich Village and the DLR light rail is 10 minutes away with connections to the Docklands, The City and Stratford.
It’s perfect for a family and is a only a few minutes walk from a lovely park. The house is in a quiet Victorian terraced street, with Scandinavian style furniture, and a small home library of art, architecture and literature.
Our Cat:
Cat sitters are welcome as there's a super-friendly 10 y/o house cat. However he can also be looked after by our next door neighbours if you don’t wish to cat sit.
Car Parking:
We can arrange on-street parking vouchers for a parking space directly in front of the house which are a separate minor cost.

About the host
Your host

The Homeowner: I'm an architect and designer who works and lives on a street of musicians, writers and creatives, along with families who've lived in this area for generations.
Why they chose this property
The area is noted for it's long streets of Victorian terraced houses, great transport links to central London and to the south, and a variety of local parks and cafes.
What makes this property unique
Over the past ten years I've slowly refubished the house to upgrade it to modern energy standards, along with a new bespoke kitchen and a large bathroom.
I've designed a handy Home Guide that explains lots of features within the house, along with a series of recommendations for local shops, cafes and transport connections.
