About this property

Rosemary Cottage, a quirky Grade II listed cottage in the heart of the old town

Steeped in history and romance, this quirky Grade II listed cottage, built we're told in the seventeenth century for local fishermen, sits in a premium position in Old Port Isaac, just a stones throw from the beach and harbour.

This romantic retreat embraces both old and new….. exposed beams, original slate floors, super thick walls and a wonderful Inglenook fireplace, complete with cloam oven, the latter used by fishermen’s wives to cook.

The cottage is beautifully nautical in design, with crisp whites, sea greens and sky blues running throughout, complimented by seaside artwork and ceramics.

Beautiful cosy lounge with woodburning stove, leading onto an open plan kitchen complete with SMEG appliances and a coffee machine. Upstairs is a beautifully appointed bathroom complete with a rolltop bath with shower over and a large double bedroom with views towards the quaint streets by the harbour.

The cottage also has it’s own parking space a short walk from the property.

Port Isaac and the surrounding area offers tantalising options for foodies and miles of scenic footpaths and are the ingredients for a truly indulgent couples retreat….. filled with coastal adventures.

Port Gaverne is a fabulous place to have a go at water sports in the sheltered cove, swimming in the warmer months, and it's just a short walk away. The nearby cove of Port Quin is a few minutes’ drive away or if you fancy, a clifftop walk. Kayaking is good here too. Take a walk out to the stunning Doyden Castle, the location for the original Poldark series, which stands proudly on the headland. The sandy bays of Polzeath popular with surfers and Daymer Bay are only about 5 miles away and Rock on the Camel Estuary is just a little further on.
